As a reader of the Umineko manga, for Digi to start using Beatrice's nickname as his own alias is something I find utterly disrespectful to the actual Golden Witch. It's like calling yourself the Red Comet (Char Aznable's nickname) when you're a fat lazy fuck. You aren't deserving of a cool character's nickname when you yourself aren't cool.
His efforts to cultivate a personal brand only worked for a while because the core of it all was anime analysis. Even if some of his subscribers took interest in his music, podcasts, the PCP, and other off-shoots, most were only in it for the anime content. But even back then when Digi still cared about anime, those offshoots were actually good. His music wasn't a cacophony of atrociousness, the PCP were still interested in making content, and the podcasts weren't snorefests. It was catering to his outer circle of subscribers that let him cater to those in his inner circle.

On another note, his patreon is super bad looking, its sporadic and you can tell he doesnt care very much.
I'm super impulsive, so that's why i did it. A good lesson for those who have adhd, make it so you have to type in your credit card info and websites dont just save it, so you can think, "maybe i shouldn't give money to autistic trannies" before you purchase things not after.

Can't say this wasn't expected. I can't even be arsed to archive the videos I like the most at this point, perhaps it's better if they are just lost to history. What does bother me a LOT is that he explicitly says Khantehnt lost out on sponsorship because of Digi's fuckups with his main channel. I'm losing sympathy for Nate, if Digi trooning out wasn't spelling it out clearly enough for him that Digi would sink his career if he tied himself at the hip, then this should be the last wake up call.

This makes no sense. So he's out of money now, which I guessed based on the fact he suddenly got the "passion" to burn through those months-overdue rants. He's still underwater with the tax debt. He bumped up his dependent count from one grifter to three. And his solution... is to double-down on his original content, which is the exact content that's been massively disliked on The Digi Collective? Disliked to the extent that it is harming opportunities with Khantehnt? What?
I guess this video is just Digi finally being real with his audience. He can't help but put his current whims above the physical reality of the situation. I mean if this pays off somehow great for him but I don't see how his fanbase's reaction is really going to change moving forward. I wonder if Nate has had any input on this decision...
Also I don't mind using people's pronouns, especially talking in person, but Digi is still talking with a man's voice, has a man's jawline, and of course, the stubble. Maybe he'll improve in the way he wants in the future, but for now I can't reconcile his current anything with feminity. Regardless of his wishes in this video he's still Digi to me.

To be fair Digi said he will be privating the videos and not delete them. Hope he unprivates them or something in the future, just seems like a weird move. So many after dark vlogs especially I want to save, don't know if I will have enough hard drive space for everything I want.

Can't be arsed to watch the video, but here's several different thoughts/predictions on this anyway:
1. He's doing it for petty extra views archiving videos will bring.
2. He's doing that purely for attention of any kind.
3. He's doing it to see people beg him not to do it.
4. He's doing it to see people support him.
5. He'll forget to do it in 3 weeks.
6. He'll "forget" it in 3 weeks, or will come up with some other excuse to not actually do it.
7. He'll revert everything back after several weeks/months.
