This is a very unpopular opinion, but; drop the voice acting, drop the timeline. All it did was draw attention to the fact that what little story there was was subpar. (Also change the Rito to be more like WW, but that is even less realistic).
Frankly, the only time writing in Zelda wowed me was at the end of WW.
The story in BOTW was definitely disappointingly thin, lacking the twists and turns of a story like OOT's.
I'm of the mind that BOTW is close to the greatest game ever made, I mean that, if only the dungeons were better, the story was deeper and the combat a little more polished I honestly think it would be the greatest game ever made.
But while it's flawed it's still really fucking great.
It's definitely very different than the other 3D Zeldas, it's true and I know what you mean about the music, but the more ambient soundscape was very atmospheric, in fact at one point an owl hooted and since I was wearing headphones I instinctively looked to the corner of the room, that's how immersed in the game I was.I think when comparing BOTW to other 3D Zelda games, it's comparing apples to oranges. I remember my first hour with BOTW is "yeah there's something here, but I wish it didn't have a Zelda skin". It then "clicked" with me after a while, and I had fun. But I missed the narrative, the characters and most of all I missed the music.
Technically, this is true. But I only burn through my weapons when I'm fighting a miniboss or a silver enemy. For the dungeons to be better they would pretty much need to scrap the durability shit with weapons. Could you imagine having to do a proper LoZ dungeon when your weapons break a quarter of the way through? I got bored with BOTW because I just liked running around, finding shrines, and then half my weapons are busted fighting moblins or whatever the fuck they're called now and I'm just irritated. Swords don't break that easily, Nintendo. That's why your country has it's magical royal grass cutter sword in a museum.
Neon White looks like fun, but I'm gonna play it on PC. I'm also surprised that nothing was said about the official Rise of the Triad source port coming to Switch, I haven't heard anything since the initial reveal.I just wanted some good first person shooters whether they be old or new.

Itsa meee, Itagakiiiiiii!Sigma versions of NG is Tecmos way of slapping people in the face. I honestly hope Itagaki does a Tim Mcveigh and bombs them for the atrocity that is the Sigma versions. Afterwards he will gladly slurp up some retarded pasta because he decided to live in Italy for some reason. God bless oatmeal cookie man.
Devils Third Special Edition when?Itsa meee, Itagakiiiiiii!
What hard drugs are you on and how did you get them?Devil's Third did nothing wrong and was unfairly maligned.
Lol people are really mad at this game
The Sigma versions are lame with the only cool thing being able to play as the female characters.Sigma versions of NG is Tecmos way of slapping people in the face. The weapon system could have used some rethinking, sure.It was just such a poorly thought out system that I've never seen a proper justification for.
"It was so that you'd switch up your weapon use."
Easily could have been done by simply having certain enemies have certain weaknesses/advantages over weapon types. Something that is kind of inherently in the game as is. (heavier weapons are more effective to use against bigger/slower enemies, single handed weapons were more effective against quicker enemies, enemies that can break block are best dealt with long spears, etc. etc.)
"it was to prevent you from finding an OP weapon early on and it carrying you through the game"
This justification is dumb for a number of reasons.
1. You could have a weapon handling skill you need to level up in order to use OP weapons found in the wild.
2. Weapons found in the world could level with you, something that enemies and the weapons they carry already do within the game.
3. The only time you can find an OP weapon is if you go into an area you are severely underpowered in. In that case, you should get a reward for undertaking a challenge like that.
4. You literally end up just tossing whatever weapon you have in favor of a stronger weapon you find. Making the fact they break absolutely pointless.
5. They could have given you a base weapon that never breaks, but is always slightly weaker than enemy weapons or you have to use crafting materials to strengthen as you go. Something that is done not only with the armor in the game, but the fucking Master Sword you can obtain at ANY FUCKING POINT in the game through a bit of exploration.
I unironically want this.Devils Third Special Edition when?
Immersion is fine, but you can remember each isle from WW from their tunes. You won't be humming piano rolls anytime soon. The only melody i can remember from BOTW was that annoying theme when a dragon shows upIt's definitely very different than the other 3D Zeldas, it's true and I know what you mean about the music, but the more ambient soundscape was very atmospheric, in fact at one point an owl hooted and since I was wearing headphones I instinctively looked to the corner of the room, that's how immersed in the game I was.
Tecmo is run by suits who are retards and don't allow any of their actually creative people any freedom. They hate Black and vanilla 2 because Itagaki is attached to them and he blew them the fuck out when they tried to screw with him. I would love to get the original version of Devils Third that was revealed for the 360 when it was using the Darksiders engine before THQ blew up.The Sigma versions are lame with the only cool thing being able to play as the female characters.
It's crazy to me that they don't want to port Black, Tecmo must have some Konami style grudge against Itagaki, I'm still heartbroken over that split.

Too often with these Japanese game companies the talent is incredible but the suits are the biggest fucking retards, see also Konami.Tecmo is run by suits who are retards and don't allow any of their actually creative people any freedom.
