Exactly. I once used that argument in a conversation but I was told I was sexist because I was comparing crimes involving inanimate objects like theft to rape. This was then considered "evidence" that men view women as chattel.

If we're going to limit it to animate objects, is it somehow "murder culture" that homicides still happen? Is murder just another form of male privilege that they need to learn to stop using? Or that the only crime women should care about is rape? Like, if a woman gets her car stolen, she should just count her blessings that the thief was only after her property this time and not her body? She's still been victimized. It's not just the usual "conformity"spiel, any job/industry with STANDARDS is sexist if it's possible for any woman to fail to meet them. We don't mind that there's minimum levels of fitness required to be a firefighter, unless they don't hire a woman, then they're just patriarchal scum afraid of a woman ruining their guys-only club.
