Nintendo Switch (Currently Plagued) - Here we shit post about the new Nintendo console, The Switch

I would like to try that SaGA Frontier Remaster since that game was notoriously rushed and content wasn't implemented and game played needed to get balanced.
Seeing it finished makes me happy and I am curious on that Fuse fella. He looks pretty cool. I am hoping for a Xenogears remaster, since Disk 2 was rushed in the day due to time constraints, so I wanna see it finished as well. As well for a Live a Live remaster. Square mentioned some trade marks were patented in several territories last year.

If SE is releasing their 16 and 32 bit games on the Switch, that is cool TBH. All I know a copy of Legend of Mana goes pretty high. I wouldn't mind FF6 being on the Switch. The Mobile ports of it was botched and the sprites look kind of gross.

Switch owners, I'm considering buying one for Smash parties and I have several questions. With regards to installing CFW is it decently easy or is there a chance a model I buy (used or new) won't be able to be hacked? Secondly are they still doing a stupid "pay to unlock these characters" thing?

Thanks!

Another new game has been announced for the Switch:

Teamwork Is Key In KeyWe, A Kiwi-Co-Op Coming To Switch This Summer

Love Overcooked, but wish the characters were a bit... rounder? KeyWe might be what you're looking for. It's a co-operative game where you play as little kiwi birds named Jeff and Debra running a mailroom, trying to type out letters, telegrams, and ransom notes alike with nothing but their little kiwi bums.

There will also be a solo mode, in which you control Jeff and Debra with a single controller, but this game looks like it was made for two-player mayhem. For co-op, there will be both a local option and an online option, so you can play with friends anywhere.

The trailer also shows off extra goodies, like a cookie decoration level, seasonal hazards like trick-or-treaters, and kiwi customisation, including hats and glasses for Jeff and Debra.

The game will be out on Switch at the same time as all other platforms in Summer 2021.

Launch switch just needs a fucking paper clip also yes there are two fighter passes
if you get one just use this to check if it's patched or not

I forgot to mention the Pirate section in Majoras Mask too.

That's how you know I'm serious cause Majoras Mask is my favorite and I still say that part was dumb.

Edit: Shit I forgot the Gerudo Fortress was a stealth section too. Jesus Christ maybe I am wrong and bullshit stealth sections are just a staple of 3D Zelda.
Don't forget Link's early-game panty raid on Hyrule Castle in OoT.

Pirate Fortress is really the only acceptable one because you have the option of finding the Stone Mask to make it easier.

Hmmmm, this game makes me think of something.

It's the original wii-rom put on a Switch card. It's the minimal effort possible.
Such a shame. People love full-on remakes where there's clear quality put into it. Resi 2/3, Spyro and Crash trilogies, Halo and Gears, Destroy All Humans, etc. Nintendo even did it for Link's Awakening, but not much else, which sucks. I'd love a full Mario Sunshine remake.

What's ironic is they're putting in effort for the Detective Club games, which makes the SS port all the more lazy.

A good Dunkey video on the direct.
KEEP. SAYING. IT.

I mean to be fair a visual novel overhaul, even to the level of the FDC games are getting, still must be easy compared to remaking a wii game just do to the fact there isn't as much gameplay to consider. I'm not defending the skyward sword port being 60 or whatever but just pointing out there's a difference of scale here.

>link's awakening
>clear quality
It literally has content REMOVED from the GBC release and it is a full $60. Not even mentioning the NSMB-tier artstyle.

I'm not sure why for the life of me I keep seeing people defending this vapid cashgrab.

I dunno VNs like Root Letter has been remade numerous times already, even to the point where there's one version that replaces all the art with still images of live actors.

And it's boring as all fuck, I dunno who keeps willingly buying it.

Going to have to disagree with you there. Yeah, the Direct sucked but it's really not a big deal. This vid was just Dunkey sperging about anime and JRPGs. Although he did make one salient point: new F-Zero, the best racing series ever when?
"I'm so angry about boobs." - A grown ass man

Dunkey should stick to 3 minutes. He's too stupid to make longer videos.

Do you have a list of changes between the original Gameboy version and the remake? The remake seemed at least alright by keeping the Mario-related cameos according to a few clips I've seen but I'm still curious if there is anything different that could be considered as deal-breaker.

I tend to prefer playing the original games over the modern-day remakes, because the people in charge of the remake are often different from the ones who made the original games therefore the results can be wholly different and worse (RE3make for example which wasn't even by the same team that was responsible of RE2make). Remakes should also always give the option for buyers to play the original title imo, something that Odin's Sphere Leifthrasir did for instance.

Honestly i just wished we got something more intresting but saga frontier will work for me, i got plently of games to look foward to already and i still have an entire jrpg series to go through.

The only difference I am aware of is that the photography building(used with the Gameboy Printer) is replaced with a place where you can make your own dungeon. The GBC bonus dungeon from DX is in the game.

Latest direct had some good stuff in it, but it really needed Breath of the Wild 2 info and its absence stung like hell. Plus so many RPG's for some reason and spending way too much time on Project Silly Name.
