Actual Character, her name is Sawyer. She’s a white cat. And I know that the movie was supposed to refeeence how black people weren’t allowed to be stars or main actors in Broadway/Hollywood but just make Sawyer bright skinned....it doesn’t need to be super obvious that she’s black.

Light skinned black people are as good as evil whitey mayo monkeys to these artists. Your skin color has to be tar black, or else you aren't black and you pass too well as a white person (despite the completely different facial structure between races... lol)

I feel bad for light-skinned biracial people. Being potentially alienated by both racial groups you're a part of can cause some serious self-image issues. And SJWs ain't helping this out either...I still cringe at that one time a Japanese artist drew a " black coded" alien rock humanoid's skin 2 shades brighter than usual.

This controversy probably solidified Japanese artists from drawing anything remotely with dark skin (Except for Gangaru girls)

It's really a shame that SU was actually decent for a few seasons and then people had to go ahead and ruin that. And with that anti racism video series, they told a bunch of kids to completely pay attention to someone's skin tone and judge them based off that alone. Automaticallly think that a black person lives in the ghetto and doesn't have a father figure.
