PK has always been awful at drawing anything human or with more humanoid anatomy. Her non "critter" like furries/anthros suffer from it as well if they use human anatomy. She excels at drawing monsters/critters.
When PK tries hard, she comes up with decent stuff. Her
realistic creatures are pretty good as well, as long as they, like you said, remain beast-like.
Her humans, on the other hand, whilst she sometimes gets them right, still feel very inexpressive and stiff or having some degree of Down Syndrome. Small, squinty eyes, prominent cheekbones, just a huge face overall. It feels like she's going for
asian features but failing somewhere along the way. They don't look BAD to me, but, I don't know, I can't quite tell what
feels wrong about them.
Still, those in her portfolio look a
thousand times better than the ones she's done for porn.
Honestly in my convos with Marl they've not been creepy or pressure-y, and he never gave me bad vibes.
Yeah I'm starting to think Marl is pretty vanilla. I always end up feeling sorry for him because he seems to be the most beaten down of the three. Every time he gets active online he's shot down by PK. I remember he was posting more often on his Tumblr and some PK drama happened.
I think he's a perv but not "fucking dog" pervy. He just likes imagining fucking sentient dogs.
Also I think he's the most intellegent--- even though clearly Eevee wants that title with his wordy bullshit. Marl knows when to stay out of drama and doesn't stir anything up.
Indeed, Marl was very polite and calm in the podcast and answered every question very thoroughly. Although he didn't sound super enthusiastic (in comparison to PK's usual outbursts of emotions), he seemed to be pretty comfortable and happy to be doing what he was doing.
It's really a shame he doesn't post more stuff under his name. I mean, sure, the Flora things in which he contributed get a little 'by Marl' note and PK often talks about how she and Marl are working on whatever, but I don't think a little more individual exposure would hurt him. I think it would draw people in and stir their curiosity about his work and his persona. Then again, he might be content staying in relative (internet) obscurity.
Back in PMD-E, he posted as 'Avolonte', so that people wouldn't know it was him. (Pictures were done by PK). He didn't use a different name to preserve anonymity, though, it was simply a matter of avoiding judges making things easier for him because he was Marl.
He does feel like the more mature and intelligent one of the bunch, although PK doesn't really count because she's naturally obnoxious and childish and Eevee is happy to be a doormat (and is also very full of himself).
I don't frequent the chats. I didn't know Marl got so much flack from PK, that's kinda sad, especially because he's, well, her husband. I remember Eevee commenting a long time ago that he was seeing a therapist due to problems in his relationship, and the therapist hinted that PK might be the cause of the problem. There was a huge online hissyfit and Eevee never saw that therapist again. It's sad because people with problems often don't have any idea what or who might be causing them or that they even HAVE a problem in the first place.
I just don't understand how Marl tolerates PK. And Eevee. Every single day of his life. Can people truly put up with so much bullshit for the sake of living life easy?
It seems like most of Pengo's accusations are pretty flaccid too. Just looks like an awkward nerdy breakup with some drama. PK is already a joke without the abuser title. The more I look at Pengo's stuff/blog entries I really do see that he has chronic paranoia.

I think that PK probably is an abusive person but yeah, I agree that Pengo also seems to have that tumblr mindset where be blows everything out of proportion and makes little slights and accidental things seem like "abuse". Their entire situation was probably just a crappy breakup that both parties were trying to make seem like more than it was.
The real lols came from PK flipping the loving fuck about someone calling her out in the same way she'd done to several others. When someone finally throws her dirty laundry on the sidewalk it's libel! (But when she does it it's totally justified and she's being a hero and warning tumblr about evil abusive people. )
True. Pengo's posts felt like a clusterfuck of confusing, excessively emotional, repetitive information, but I doubt PK is blameless in this whole thing. She IS a hugeass hypocrite, her history is proof that she's a phony. She's not "maturing over the years", she's just twisting things and preaching against stuff she's done herself because she's a liar. I know people with time and life experiences can change their opinions and better themselves, but the problem with PK is that she just doesn't admit she's done anything wrong. And she's not getting any better, either. In fact, she just keeps grazing and grazing and grazing.
