I'm pretty sure Kei got in because Marine was there to vouch for him, mentioning that he has quite an... extensive portfolio and has done plenty of Hololive-based art. Cover could have figured they were just fanart, maybe even some hentai image sets considering his reputation, but didn't dig any deeper until somebody just happened to see one of his Hololive books for sale.

I did sperg about the chinks, but to be fair they were immediately available to dog pile on what was essentially a sour business agreement sperg out on Twitter. Starting a stream on Bilibili about this right after it started doesn't help either. Also, plenty have called out Cover for it being weird for them to suddenly care, but as others have said it's not unreasonable they ask him to stop and might've been asking him for a while. As for in general, plenty of people have over the year of 2020 busted Cover's balls, are you new or something? Just lately the biggest fuck up they had was the Coco modding bugs thing and then an artist sperging out over something they were't willing to agree with.
What I said isn't just on this site but on 4chan and wherever else people talk about Vtubers, it's like people don't want Cover to take the L sometimes for whatever reason makes sense to them. It's just something I've noticed when it comes to Hololive I guess.

Now a days 4chan's where Redditors go because the subreddit's rules are too strict, but 4chan was the first place to discuss for example Towa's drama and criticize her for trying to lie about staff and criticize how Cover handled that. They were the first Western site to openly discuss Narukami blowing the lid on the Mel legal drama too and criticize Cover.
