NOA has said the only censorship they'll do is to fall into rating guidelines. * this was back when everybody was shitting themselves over Sony's new policies *Nintendo doesn't give a shit. The only censorship of designs they ever do is to keep CERO or the ESRB off their ass. Nintendo of America has no hand in the actual development of the games, maybe besides translations, but idk if Treehouse is even around anymore (if they aren't, thank GOD).
That's the thing I never understood about the Gamergate shitshow. When I was a teen it was common knowledge that review magazines were bought and paid for to the point they were routinely mocked on Xplay for it.Gee, I wonder why?
I suspect you're the sort of person who shouts about things like this in one breath, and then in the next breath decries that everything in theaters is "CONSOOM PRODUCT" Marvel crap. Art will offend sensibilities. Large groups of people won't like it. I don't like TLOU2, not because it's ugly or cucked or jewish tricks or whatever the fuck you're complaining about, but because it's a chore and about miserable people doing miserable things to other miserable people in ways that are miserable to play. It's not fun, and that's what happens when you prioritize "game as artistic work" (for people with very pretentious ideas about art) as opposed to "game as a fucking game." They could do this because TLOU2 was assumed to be a "shoo-in": The Last of Us was one of the most well-liked games of its generation and sold somewhere on the level of the Holy Bible: the management felt confident that they could let the auteurs off of their leads and hey, if they end up making a piece of shit, it would sell on the name alone and make profit margins go up. For another example of what happens when you let the auteurs take full control over development and start butchering the gameplay in the name of "muh artistic vision", look at Shenmue III. The difference is that Sony Interactive backed up a big money truck at the Game Awards. My opinion is apparently not uncommon, but neither is the opposite: the game's user reviews indicate that it's highly polarizing across the board, and I hate to break it to you, but it's unlikely even half of those positive user reviews are all paid shills and bots. It's more likely that a large segment of the population likes this game and sees it as an artistic achievement; you can call them all bugmen or cucks or soyboys or whatever, but at the end of the day their dollar is just as valuable as yours.
Let's talk about The Game Awards, since you brought them up: I'm sorry you're apparently very young, but awards shows are always bullshit and mean nothing. If they're industry-run, the awards go to whoever backed up the biggest money truck. If they're artist-run, they go to some pretentious obscure piece of shit that nobody's ever heard of. A couple bones are thrown to the plebs, but that's it. I never gave a fuck about the Game Awards before TLOU2 swept, and I don't care about them afterwards- and I have a sneaking suspicion you don't, either, and just want to bring it up because you think it's further proof of your conspiracy instead of evidence that awards shows are, in fact, awards shows. The first year the Grammys began awarding a prize for Best Rap Album, Public Enemy's It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back, one of the most influential and cherished albums of that decade, was released. The winner was Will Smith for an album of music recorded under his Fresh Prince of Bel-Air persona. The Game Awards event is nothing new or special, and certainly isn't part of some kind of Illuminati scheme.
Likewise, I rarely consider professional critics' opinions to be anything more than the opinion of a professional critic, who tend to have tastes different from the general populace.
When the female Ghostbusters came out, people like you (which included me at the time) said the same kind of shit; it signaled the end of pop culture and fun, that (((They))) were doing it to demoralize all the redpilled silent majority, etc. And then it got dropped, buried in a pit, and now they're releasing a soft reboot of the original franchise that decanonizes Fat Chicks Ghostbusters, because the latter didn't sell. TLOU2 didn't sell according to you, and if that's true I suspect we won't see much of it again, and certainly not in the form it was in previously.
TL;DR stop mainlining mercury, consider that a fucking army is needed to make a vidya and said armies are not of Borg, and stop thinking awards shows and critics mean shit like a mark. Only REEEtards think these things mean anything.
Lol sure, nobody cares about profit anymore that's why Sony couldn't bury fembusters fast enough when it bombed, Disney ignored the reeing about Gina Carano until she stuck her foot in her mouth one too many times on Twitter and WB pretty much told Ray Fisher to go fuck himself for that sweet Snyder Cash.>market forces
You think anything is about profit anymore? Almost no one likes much less pays for interracial porn. But they produce the fuck out of it and shove it in everyone's faces. Its a massive in the red money sink. Why do they do it? I thought people realized lolberg shit was false by now.
Even "woke" Playstation still releases weeb fanservice games on their platform despite their new policies.
