Now why the fuck are Sako mags so expensive for a piece of polymer with some steel inserts? Making HK prices look reasonable.

So my FK BRNO PSD finally, FINALLY arrived today. I can't begin to tell you how impressed I am with this pistol. It's one of the finest semi-auto handguns I've ever seen. The quality, fit, finish, and feel are top notch. The slide feels like it rides on rollers its so smooth, and the trigger is very crisp, probably the best trigger I've ever felt on a semi-auto pistol that wasn't a 1911. I cannot wait to get it set up with a red dot optic and start seeing how well it shoots. I'll be ordering ammo for it next week or the week after.

I also ordered four more Lancer L7 25rnd mags, so I will have twelve in total, and two H&K Mark 23 12rnd mags. I'll be ordering a third Mark 23 mag next week. I'm pretty well set on mags now. I'd like to get six CMI M14 mags if I can just to put away as spares, but it won't be a big deal if I can't.

Here's some photos of the FK BRNO with my other autos for a size comparison. It's a bit bigger than my SIG P226 TacOps, but not quite as big as my Mark 23.

Personally I have a like for the A1 grips as opposed to A2 on an AR-15, which I'm not really a fan of in the first place. Nice and smooth and gives you a bit of retro flavor. Got one on a .308 lower I built. Not sure what I want to do with the upper though.

I've got a really cool custom grip on my MWS308. The company that made it is sadly out of business, which is a real shame because they made top notch kit. The grip has an aircraft grade aluminum core that you can bolt G10 grip scales to. They offered several different colors and different patterns that you could choose for how the G10 scales could be carved. I just got solid black with kind of an angular palm swell. I really love how it feels. Doublestar is making a similar grip that looks really nice, but the design is a bit different and the only choice you get is what color the G10 panels are. When I finally build up my stripped lower I will probably get one of the Doublestar grips for it.

I'd Give my soul for a replica of the sturmgewehr aka STG44. Though never mass produced by the krauts there are plenty of reproduction models floating around. I checked and unfortunately in addition to having to go through NJ's bs gun licensing process they obviously can only fire in semi auto, can't accept pistol grips or bump stocks, solid rifle stocks and regular grips only, even the goddamn barrel can't be "too short" so it cant be easily concealed. I swear sometimes i hate the lot in life i was given if only because im stuck in the california of the east coat.

One of my grail guns is an FG42. I'll never be able to afford a genuine select fire model, but there is a small outfit who are making semi-auto models for about $5000-$6000 and I'd kill to own one. I'd also really, really like to own a GeW-43.

What's the latest news on gun control?
Biden gave some virtue signals on the anniversary of Parkland, but other than that, not much more than Shannon Troughton Watts blowing hot air out her cooch as usual.

Edit: Utah passed constitutional carry recently, which is a bit of a whitepill.

Are the Springfield Armry Saint ARs any good?

And thoughts on the M1A scout rifle sold by them?
Depends. Did you get out of Calizuela yet?
9th Circus is going to re-hear Duncan v. Becerra, so that doesn't bode well.
Some politicians like the Lizardmen from Connecticut are posturing, but nothing is in play just yet. Real happenings in gun rights generate more buzz than the usual clickbait on TTAG.

More specifically, they granted it en banc review which almost never happens except when they want to screw over a pro-gun decision which is exactly what happened with Peruta v San Diego. The odds now are a little better than they were then, but Duncan now still has to clear first the hurdle of getting a pool of friendly 9th circuit judges (already an uphill battle since the chief justice is anti-gun) and if it loses there hoping that SCOTUS won't cuck out hearing it.

Saints are pretty nice for what they are, if not a bit pricy, what makes you look into them? Not judging, just want to see your wants and maybe we can figure something else.

Heavy, I love me the m1 but it's a lot more weight than you think (inb4 go to gym)

@The Dude Congrats your dudeship and super jelly. I'd pick up all the ammo costs if you let me have a few mags thru her! May it treat you well.

I want to redo my makarov slide, I'm willing to do something retarded for the lulz like case hardening even. But cold blue I can do at home. Any suggestions ideas? Should I do sights too? A bored man with free time and guns he can't shoot (thanks ammo shortage) gets silly dreams.

Its the only thing for sale at where I live at. I wanted the Ruger AR-556s initially but they all sold.

I really like the AR (kinda a ruger fan boy tbh) they make, it's a good solid gun for a fair price, I gotta say the M&P series is a good patrol/entry rifle too.

If the Saint is a gun you can have in your hands, vs not you'll be happy with it for a pretty simple AR platform rifle.

Are Crimson Trace scopes any good? Midway currently has a deal on a “3-Series”, 4x-20x, 50 mm that I am seriously considering.

Solid entry level stuff. I'm a triji fag. (my wallet says sadly, my groups say wisely) Also pretty fond of night force. Primary arms makes some other decent entry stuff. As @White Devil mentioned others to look at, for bang for buck I'm pretty impressed with vortexes stuff. (while I'd say the optics proper are on par with price point, I really liked it's fit and finish etc)

I’ve mainly bought Leupold in the past, but it’s been several years since I’ve actually shopped for a scope. The scope market seems to have really changed over the past 10-15 years. Nightforce seem to be the current hotness; I might give Vortex a look.

Nightforce is really just next tax bracket type of shit. It's probably hot now because of the gear queers who own used NODs think just because it's expensive, it will buy them status on Instagram.

They truly are great scopes though.

Leupold makes nice stuff, but if you are shopping CT, Vortex it's a price point up. NF being high end priced.
