Wuhan Coronavirus: Megathread - Got too big

I had a text from my GP surgery today offering me the vaccine, even though my GP has already mentioned to me previously how I shouldn't have it. I'm not a fucking eatbeast and otherwise not at risk, had serious allergies to vaccines before, no benefit to it, won't stop me catching or passing on.

I'm tempted to book an appointment so they'll have to waste my dose when I don't show up, to be honest.

Edit: I'm also confused with Finland. Either things are SO SUPER DUPER CEREAL BAD GUISE!!!!! AND WE NEED TO SHUT IT DOWN SHUT IT DOWN SHUT IT ALLLLLLL DOOOOOWWWNNNN!!!!!!!!!! Or they're not, and the ten day wait is pointless.

Seriously, what's the fucking deal?

I went grocery shopping today, maskless as usual. I love, I REALLY FUCKING LOVE seeing people look angry and scared of me not weating one. But I love even more, stopping to chat to people who aren't wearing them. It makes for a lovely change.

If I was so scared of a virus that has an above 95% survivability rate, I would be having a good long hard think about my life. I can't wait to see the Governments getting sued to shit and back in a few years when the numbers of preventable death come out, or when people look back on the data from this year and see care home deaths spiking in the 7-10 days post vaccine teams visiting and they realise, not only did the governments do this, but fucking spastics like them were gagging for it at the time.

Oh, and whoever said upthread now is the best time to get in shape, they're onto a winner. Being fat is a personality flaw. Come out of this physically fitter, and if nothing else, you'll look better. You might even feel better too, and that's a good thing. Anyone wanting to start down that route, you can do it. It might not feel like it at first, but I promise you can. All you need to remember is this: Do it today. And then do it again tomorrow, and each day that follows, it will get easier. But you totally can do this, I promise you.

Not surprised to see some femininazis having a big uproar about anti-maskers but this, WTF? https://fpmag.net/2021-fpmag/feb/anti-maskers-are-the-ones-violating-human-rights/
The news stories of anti-maskers in Canada causing public mischief may indicate a message that better public education is needed. A video on Twitter this week gained notoriety showing a large man in BC being arrested by five Canadian Tire security types after allegedly assaulting a store employee at Burnaby, Canadian Tire. The allegedly-assaulted employee had asked the accused to vacate the store or wear a mask if staying.

There’s also a message for government from Kelowna, British Columbia (BC) RCMP. Educating the public on why proper mask wearing is crucial, and encouraging disease prevention would perhaps make the public health guidelines work even better.

Get used to wearing a respirator mask as a way of life.

At some point manufacturers and government agencies will work together and get proper respirator masks into people’s hands to put on their faces having finally explained why and how.

Educating the public has been spotty in Canada including mixed messages from the federal health officials, confusing messages from politicians, and politicization by the former American President who caused the deaths of half a million Americans.

A 36-year-old man allegedly spat in the face of an employee of a convenience store near Seymour and Dunsmuir streets in Vancouver following the provincial government’s 19 November 2020, mask mandates.

A 41-year old woman trespassed in a BC store, assaulted police, resisted police arrest and wound up in court.

Following the establishment of a mask mandate in British Columbia, Canada, Kelowna RCMP Corporal Jocelyn Noseworthy stressed education.

“We highly encourage everyone to respect provincial health orders for their safety and the safety of others. The RCMP’s focus remains on educating and encouraging members of the public who may not be following the safety measures set out by public health authorities. Enforcement is typically seen as a last resort, but one that can be used if the circumstances warrant,” said corporal Noseworthy, last November.

Despite these efforts, some public mischief makers seek attention, or in the alternative, may be afflicted with ill mental health caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. This is the concern that urges caution and care.

But once the mischief maker becomes assaultive, law enforcement is needed to prevent self harm and to avert harm to the members of the public and frontline workers like store clerks and cashiers.

Good against the S. African AND Brazil variants? Sounds good, but what about the Tibetan Variant, and the Antarctic Variant, and the Kazakhstani Variant, and the Norwegian Variant? Those, surely, will be announced next week, and they're all waaaaaaaaay worse than the current strains. Looks like we'll still be quadruple masking until 2027. Gotta stay safe, guys!

Anyone who doesnt see the variants as their methods of artificially extending this EVEN more is a god damn idiot...Its just so CONVENIENT, isnt it? Besides...

Come on, lets be honest here, Im no virologist but I do fucking know that viruses dont work like they do in Plague Inc. People seem to have their persception of viruses defined by the media and hollywood movies where viruses seem to be this actual sentient and clever threat constantly outsmarting the humans. But anyone that actually knows how the real world works knows that its extreme over exaggeration for the sake of action and drama. Corona is not and never will be the hollywood virus the media wants it to be. People kept comparing it all to Contagion but...people, come on, stop acting like your life will ever become a movie. You are not interesting, the WORLD isnt that interesting, sorry to burst your bubble. Is something like that movie impossible? No, but it has been a year and there are no mass graves outside of the scary looking article titles and pictures.

People just seemed so blissfully unaware of how much people die of nearly anything all the time. Its concerning that this is their reaction when death begins to look at their direction even if just slightly.

Variants of viruses and bacterias is extremely common and the media pretending its not is, again, intellectual dishonesty and manipulation.

Just how can people be this fucking stupid?

It's nearly two and a half weeks post-Super Bowl and everyone wants to know the answer – did Florida see a COVID spike?

"That didn’t happen – I was very pleasantly surprised," USF Health’s Dr. Thomas Unnasch says, after looking at the state’s data. "It looks to me that we’re seeing no impact from the Super Bowl whatsoever."

LOL forever. Move. To. Florida.

The Superbowl didn't spread Covid, the riots all summer didn't spread Covid, but going out in your own yard alone with no mask is supposed to be able to spread it?

I had covid and recovered, and my restored sense of smell is telling me there's some bullshit around somewhere.

I love the people that say "it won't kill you to wear a mask."

Even if I agreed with that, the proper response to not wearing a mask is not getting gang tackled by five large men.
Slight PL, but this is the very store I was expelled from for refusing to wear a mask. Not merely another of the company's stores. That exact store. It is also the only store that I have ever been asked to leave for not wearing a mask. Granted, there was no violent encounter, no one raised their voice, and it only took one guy to get me to leave. Look on Crappy Tire's website, and the only policy on masking mentioned is their policy of following local health rules and regulations. The two encounters at the same store along with the company policy which does not require absolute masking at all times by all persons suggest that it may just be a case of a single overzealous manager who's gone full-retard with the covidiocy. I personally was not confronted by security or other staff but by the store manager himself.

I think somebody may be getting fired for this. If the manager determined to expel this customer then he should've followed normal procedure in these cases, which is to observe and report to police. It makes no sense at all to risk a violent encounter which could involve damage to property and injury or death to persons over a maskless customer. If the manager determined to expel the customer for failing to wear a mask, then he should've observed the man from a distance and called the police, then let the police take those risks. If someone is getting fired for this, it'll be for taking unnecessary risk in contributing to a violent encounter.

PS Canadian Tire is the big gay.

Sounds like someone over there in Canada needs a deep dicking to keep them from going all hysterical.

EDIT: Don't feel like making a new post just for this, but anecdotally when I run I've noticed other people's dogs get really excited to see my unmasked face and either want to come up and sniff me or just look at me with interest.

I mean, we see it all the time in the US where a fast food worker or a convenience store cashier is fired for confronting someone with an actual weapon during an actual crime like robbery because it opens up the store to liability. We've seen cases where people will sue (and win) for getting injured while committing a crime.

You know how Victorian women used to go get fingered by the doctor every so often because as it turns out a good orgasm relieves stress and anxiety? Canadians need the same thing, a good nation wide dicking to stop them from being hysterical sissies.
At the very least, we know most of the men in Canada will like it too.

So it turns out grandma apparently had the coof already, but didn't know until she went to a medic today. Her bone pain is not because she's old, it's the "long covid" that's causing it! Even though she's had it FOR YEARS, nah, blame it on covid! And she believes it...

Well we Canadians know our Prime Minister would absolutely love it
And Ontarians would love to see Fatso Communist Doug Ford; leader of the most imprisoned province in North America; take a few up the rear too.

I wondered about that, because when I went to adopt a dog at the shelter they required masks at all times, but dogs go by your facial expressions. So I was a little worried about how that would go. Luckily, I adopted one, and people at the local park do not use masks (although there is a sign at the entrance to stay 6 feet apart), so we go there fairly often for a nice walk.

I’m still confused at the people who wear masks while running or walking outside. Granted, I live in an area where people have been saying “fuck that” since the beginning, so it’s not really a thing here.

Seems to me dogs go by verbal cues, tone, and body language but not facial expressions.

I am in Florida right now and it's such a breath of fresh air from the endemic faggotry of New York City doomerism. If you live in Florida you have no clue how bad it is in other states lol

And I am actually saying what I and the Public health agency and many others have been saying all along since the pandemic started – that masks should be used.
:hah:
