Diseased #Comicsgate - The Culture Wars Hit The Funny Books!

  • 🔧 At about Midnight EST I am going to completely fuck up the site trying to fix something.
No...thats been his icon since day 1 I think it's a image character but holy shit...did he lose subscribers?
Nope.

Ethan and Zack done it first and everyone copied. Ethan's prices seems justifiable because of his 27/28 career in the comics industry but it doesn't make sense for books like wart the wizard and cashgrab be 25, even 15 is pushing it.

@FROG nice pfp update.
It's the rare Leptopelis vermiculatus. The Peacock Tree Frog.

Depends who you ask. My first book--which I despise, and took off Amazon--had like 13 or 14 reviews and all 5 stars. My books on Amazon now mostly have 5 stars. I only had a few complains about Stardust or Trixie, and all the artists working with me love the scripts I've turned in. I'm not saying everything I do is great, but it's at least good, and people are liking it, and know I can be great one day.
Remember, tomorrow I am getting your book, so expect me to rip you a new one here after this comment

Zack has been stuck at that number forever. For some reason it doesn't change.

What are people's thoughts on the $25 price point that tends to be the standard for CG books, sometimes regardless of length?
It's not a CG book, but I find $25 reasonable for KA. More so since they're switching to hardcover. The quality to price ratio has been just about right on the softcovers.

But @SaidNoOneEver gave the correct answer. You can charge what the market will bear. If it doesn't sell, the price is too high.

In fairness to Nasser, King once said that you are a successful writer if you sell your book, and the check you're given for the sale doesn't bounce.

Some people might consider that a low bar, but there's some definite wisdom to it. Success is a gradient. Not binary.
Did Donal's "check" bounce?

Ethan Van Sciver draws slow. Brian Bolland draws slow. JRJR and Mark Bagley draw fast. I can absolutely guarantee you that different artists both work and do so at different speeds.
JRJR and Bags draw fast but Bolland and Sciver can both hit their deadlines if they put in the work.

Nasser is right here. If you're getting payed and you have a deadline you said you will make and you don't make it there are few acceptable excuses.

Van Sciver and Bolland can both hit their deadlines when they sit down and do the work. When they miss their deadlines it's because they didn't sit down and do the work. Period.

"I work slow" is an excuse for not meeting ones commitments. It is not a reason.

If they miss a deadline it's not because they can't draw as fast as Romita Jr. It's because they didn't put in the work they planned to. They promised to deliver and didn't put in the time to get it done.

there is just one US writer worth his salt and most of his books are about Africa, Europe and the Cuba....
Hemingway?

Kamen America could probably get away with charging even more. It's $10 for the softcover and it's actually a good book and it's 64 pages. I've paid a lot more for a lot worse books in crowdfunding. But I love the low price point.

From another angle: if you're a fan of Cyberfrog, does that hinge on believing he isn't a terrible person: that you don't believe he's a leader of all or part of the CG shenanigans behind the scenes?

If you don't believe Ethan was part of it, could you foresee anything Ethan might do to sour you on Cyberfrog? What if he openly admitted to gayops sometime in the future?

The books are so great we get more character development in 1 issue than a whole decade of comics from the mainstream.

Every and any book that isn't a deplorable SJW fantasy is comparatively "great." What are you looking forward to the most from this character?

If you're reading Cyberfrog for deep character analysis I don't know what to tell you.

I'll be fine with any. Pond level to start? I'm trying to filter out what is purely enthusiasm for Ethan's personal story versus the Cyberfrog property. I've had times where I really could have done without hearing one more thing about Stan Lee's earlier career as a two-bit writer taking complete advantage of Jack Kirby's mega talent. But the fact is my enjoyment of these characters is quite independent of my appreciation for the character of Stan Lee, at least at that stage in his life.

Reactions: FROG
Liam livestreaming with Ro Kabir. Now joking about his funny pickup line "I'm good at sex and have money." He wants to print up shirts with it. Ro claims to have no idea what he's talking about.

So much for being 'honeypotted'.

Lol, lying street shitter knew what was going on. I don't believe for a second with all of his wc fags running interference for Liam, including Pan, and Ro didn't know about it. I'm just wondering if they discussed it somewhere or had one of their stupid ass huddles in Discord to plan the next big brained attempt to git gud.

Sciver is a pussy that canceled his collaboration with Dave Sim because of ridiculous social pressure. He's no better than the "sjw" types yells about.

He'll capitulate to whatever social pressure because he's a money whore.

You think Frog was wrong for declining to go into business with this guy?
