Five Nights At Freddy's

Here's a fun fact for ya:

One of the inspirations for fnaf was the criticism of Jim Sterling in his trailer review of a previous game by Scott (its a game about beavers, can't remember the name). Jimbo claimed that the beavers looked like scary robots.
Scott was a little hurt by Jim's comment, but decided to use it as a plan to create fnaf.

So the fnaf fandom, the sea of rule 34/kawaii/other...types of art are all because of Sterling.
and that's the genius of it
he took something bad and made it work for him.

this trailer though, i dunno man.
a house? you're a kid?
how does this work?
is this related to the movie?
SCOTT ANSWER ME I NEED TO KNOW
i'm glad the release date is being bumped back, i'm not fucking waiting for october

My original theory was that you play as the kid from the bite of 87, but with the reveal of the springtrap pulshie in the trailer that theory has bern debunked.

Maybe you play as Scott himself. He did once say he had recurring nightmares of Bonnie inside his room. Maybe that's why we see Bonnie attack in the trailer.

Maybe you play as a kid who played the games and now hes pretending he's actually in one. It would explain why they all look so over the top and macabre, the kid didnt think the original designs were scary enough.

Yeah I'm pretty sure thats not the case, I just thought it'd be a cute idea for it to be referencing the fact a lot of kids are fans of the series. In all honesty its probably about a guy who's designing animatronics for a new attraction or something, and they end up activating at his house and he has to keep em out of his room. [\spoiler]

springtrap is an older suit/tronic
it's possible an older establishment sold golden bonnie plushies.

How the fuck does a kid end up with haunted killer mascots in his house? "Oh hey son, we know how much you love those five nights at freddys games so we decided to fill the house with evil animal robots. Happy birthday!"
Maybe his dad is a security guard and wanted to prepare his kid for his future job as a night watchman.

Dress up as Chica and jump out from the cake. Scream pizza whilst doing so.

And now the idea of a FNAF-themed wedding is amusing me so much. Imagine all the bridemaids and groomsmen dressed as various robotic furries. And then during the reception the bride and groom get shoved into (hopefully non-fatal) animatronic suits or something.

This idea probably already exists on the internet somewhere.

I actually dig the fourth game's setting, it hits close to home of those moments we all had growing up. Scared of the dark, or conjure up something akin to an overactive imagination that frightens you. I'd imagine some of us (saner) would try to hold in manly tears.

Still though, it was a surprise that it didn't take place in a relevant business area.

The end of FNAF3 did mention some things being sold at an auction after the attraction burned down...

Yay, that means there will be new Markiplier FNAF videos! *checks* ...oh he already made one. Perfect!
Seriously, you all can have your fun with these games, but the second and third installment just felt like lazy rehashes to me and I don't consider the first one as a very good game either. The only thing that makes them enjoyable is watching other people play it.

As much as how two and three had something new, it really was just a rehash. Still the same setting with the same thing that has to be kept at bay. One thing I noticed in the video you linked is that it's apparently a demo, according to the title screen.

To be honest I didnt much like 2 because it was just a clusterfuck of jumpscares, 3 was kinda cool with how cryptic it was but the gameplay was boring. I really only liked the first one, since the atmosphere was cool and they got the suspense just right.

4 actually seems more like the first one in that regard, with a unique setting and more suspense. Even if it is a troll game I gotta say im pretty into it so far.
