Five Nights At Freddy's

Just sharing this, a video taken at a FNAF convention.
Damn, we went from some guys asking a kid of his opinions on chica being sexualized, straight into memes.
This video has officially made me disappointed with the world.

Also, the whole "What if someone shipped a life sized chica to your door?" Question disturbs me somewhat.
I mean, what kind of response did they want?

Someone would want to hear the response like "I'd fuck it" or "I'd make it my waifu". Scott Cawthon only made a game to sell to people and in the end, he ended up making a series that got a fandom that is like furries and bronies. They jack it to animatronics in fursuits and come up with head-canons that Scott can end up making non-canon by the next game. Another piece of FNAF cringe:
One can only note the cringe and edge within this.

That Evanescence song is only one step down from using Linkin Park.
Also, because of that video, I've decided to delve into the cesspool of FNAF on YouTube. Wish I haven't.
Looks like it mostly consists of boring slideshows, shit tier animations, crappy Gmod/SFM clips and... dare I say it: MMD "crossovers".
You haven't seen anything, till you see animu versions of all the characters, dancing to weeaboo song.
Have a look at your own risk:
On a side note - those two examples are the most enjoyable of all the shit ones I watched. No need to thank me.

i'm starting to get a thorn of doubt about my idea (movie studio)
the last imagine (the one with the purple hat and bowtie)
has "property of Fr --------- er"
and i have no clue how to fit "-----er" with studio.
it's not studio, or lot, or any word i know having to do with filming.
it fits with diner. but a diner with those animatronics?
what the shit?

Actually, the Fredbear's Family Diner was the original name of the place, where two golden mascots (animatronics or guys in suits) were present. Sauce on wikia.
So you're not too far off, and it seems that fourth one will tie all the loose ends (hopefully).
And seeing as Springtrap escaped the fire in FNAF3, I guess we'll have double golden combo.

i know all of that, and that's why it's worrying me
assuming this is after 3, there wont be a golden freddy. golden freddy was possessed by a child anyway. we know springtrap was recovered from the fire, but not in what condition. i wouldn't be surprised if he shows up in 4, but i'm doubting it.
but 4 can't be in the first or even second resturant (i kind of subscribe to the game theorist's idea of the timeline btw)
because then what is chica and foxy doing in this game?
i have more questions, but i will wait. and i will wait patiently

One rumor I heard is that this may have something to do with the Bite of 87. Maybe you play as the victim of the bite or maybe one who saw the bite occur.

Hoo boy, just get ready for freddy all of the time.

Kind of off topic, but necessary so that I do not double post:
While browsing various indie game development websites, it occured to me that FNAF fan games have NOT ceased development. Not even the fan games that parody the over populated land of FNAF clones are funny anymore.

Until someone does something either incredibly atmospheric and intriguing (5 nights at the chumbucket) or incredibly fresh and enjoyable (One night at flumpty's 1 and 2), I'm not going to consider most FNAF based games to be games. They're almost, dare I say, sub-games.

Quick EDIT: I almost made a FNAF parody called "One long night at Fredboy's" a bit ago, but not only did I give up on it, I later realised how mentally defective that would've been to make.

And once again, in order to not create another post, here's something else:

It's funny, because when FNAF came out, it was so far out of left field no one saw it coming. In a sense, it was kind of ground breaking for a horror game. Scott himself is also very inspirational, in that he took criticism and turned it into gold in a way (For those who don't know, Scott recieved criticism on a mobile game he made, and said criticism poked fun at the fact that his models for beavers looked animatronic). The FNAF fandom is something I personally compare to life, in a way. There's good things, there's bad things, there's sexual things, there's crazy things, and then there's sad things. Who knows what will happen to the FNAF fandom in the future. I would like to believe that it will end, and Scott will move on and stay successful, but such things are shifting and changing, and no one truly knows what direction the future will take.

This time around the story takes place in a house inside a child's room. How refreshing.

Also, this game comes out on August 8th. I KNEW it would release early given Scott's track record for releasing the games earlier than normal. He's at least adding free content on the original date though. What's even more interesting is that August 8th marks the first year since the original FNAF came out. This means that FOUR GAMES have been released in the span of a single year.

To be fair, the sequels only happened due to popular demand. And even then, they're reportedly quick to make so it's not like he's rushing any.

This one might actually be pretty fuckin' creepy. The Nightmare designs go from kinda goofy to unsettling from the use of lighting, and the fact there's no way of seeing them at all times is a nice touch.

I'm getting some pretty big Among The Sleep vibes from this too, since it's focusing on a kid in a survival horror game. Which is a concept that's pretty neat- the wild imaginations of children can come up with some freaky shit, and cause mundane things way creepier. Might be cool.

For some reason, I'm getting a feeling that Scott is going to pull a Wes Craven's New Nightmare and have FNAF4 be about the animatronics entering the "real" world.

While that would suck as the plot for the game, it would be a great fan fiction premise.

Here's a fun fact for ya:

One of the inspirations for fnaf was the criticism of Jim Sterling in his trailer review of a previous game by Scott (its a game about beavers, can't remember the name). Jimbo claimed that the beavers looked like scary robots.
Scott was a little hurt by Jim's comment, but decided to use it as a plan to create fnaf.

So the fnaf fandom, the sea of rule 34/kawaii/other...types of art are all because of Sterling.
