Wuhan Coronavirus: Megathread - Got too big

Have any of you guys had side effects from these vaccines? I've heard that the second shot (Moderna, Pfizer) can leave you incapacitated for a couple of days.

I haven't had a covid vaccination myself. I know two people who have had the Oxford jab which I know you didn't ask about but they were both fine so far bar one having a slightly sore arm the next day. I know three who have had the Pfizer so far, one said they were wiped out and tired for a couple of days the others were fine bar a sore arm.

I think there likely are more serious immediate negative reactions but anything that was more than a few % would have shown up clearly in the trials. It's likely less than half a percent who suffer a serious immediate reaction. Which to be sure is a big deal when you're vaccinating hundreds of millions of people but isn't going to show up much in random Internet anecdotes.

My larger concerns are long-term effects. It's quite possible there are some. Hell, it could even make getting the real virus worse through something called Antibody Dependent Enhancement (ADE) and it's just too soon to tell. But there's also the collateral damage of making the virus more deadly than it would be by removing symptoms but leaving it catchable and transmissable, thus removing evolutionary pressure to reduce severity. That's a non-sterilizing or "leaky" vaccine. And then there's just the scenario of governments in the pay of the trillion dollar pharma industry forcing everyone to have unnecessary vaccine shots whenever a Pfizer exec wants a stock bump.

Quick Update III
A small sliver of information has come to light about the resident who passed away after the 2nd shot of the Moderna "vaccine". This is interesting and smarter Kiwi autists here may know if these two pieces of information could have helped lead to the residents death.
First, the resident had Covid and had to be hospitalized about a month before receiving the first injection. This troubles me because my understanding is that if you have had Covid, the vaccine really isn't necessary. Don't you have antibodies from the infection making her not need the vaccine in the first place? Could the dangers potentially of this vaccine be worse if you have recently had Covid?
Finally, the resident had an interesting therapy that I don't fully understand where she had received plasma donation from a recovered Covid patient in an attempt to transfer antibodies. This again happened a couple weeks prior to her first Moderna injection.
They determined that is was best that she still immediately received the "vaccine". With the amount of antibodies she must have already had, any benefit from the vaccine must have been minimal.
Of course, we are being told that there is no connection between her death and the experimental vaccine she received less then 12 hours before her death.
I am very angry, and this death I think could have been avoided. At this point, the best way to stay healthy is to avoid being in the care of doctors or hospitals...clown world, honk honk!

The Balbriggan woman who was arrested yesterday after breaking lockdown restrictions to reopen her beauty salon has said she does not regret her actions.

Christine McTiernan was arrested and brought to Balbriggan Garda station just before noon by gardai after she reopened her C&N Beauty Rooms for the second day in a row.

Despite being told by Gardai to close her salon on Tuesday morning, she reopened again yesterday and was arrested .

She was later brought to Swords District Court and now faces several charges in relation to the breaking of lockdown rules.

Gardaí say they were also investigating a demonstration that was held in Balbriggan at around the same time, where four men and three women were arrested in relation to the protest and alleged breaches of the Health Act.

Six of these arrests were dealt with by way of Fixed Penalty Notice.

Another person arrested, a man aged in his 50s, has been charged in relation to this incident.

Meanwhile Ms McTiernan faces another hearing on March 25.

“I was quite shocked at the number of gardai who arrived to arrest me,” she said.

“I’m five foot, I’m no threat to anybody and I’ve never been in trouble in my life with the guards, ever.

"It was shocking to see. If they thought I was that much of threat to have that many Gardai there, they would have handcuffed me, but they didn’t.

“I just walked out of the salon by myself and they gave me a few minutes to lock up.

“Now, they were lovely, the guards, they were very sympathetic and very respectful.

"They gave me a cup of tea and they sent out for biscuits for me.

"I was well looked at in the Garda station. They said they understood where I was coming from but that they had a job to do.”

Christine said today that she would not reopen the salon again until at least after the court date but added that she did not regret her actions.

“I’m back in court in March,” she said. “The main charge is for opening the salon against restrictions while the lockdown is going on.

"I had to sign (a form) to say I would not open again and if I did I would be arrested and I would be locked up. That’s what I was told.

“But I don’t regret taking a stand because I still stand by 100 per cent, that I still need to make a living. That hasn’t changed.

“But if anything, I hope it has brought some attention (to the fact) that the Government needs to help. If you’re not going to let me open my business to make a living and pay my bills, then help me.

“That’s the bottom line. If you want me to stay at home, then do something for me at least, and not just for me, for all the small business owners that are struggling.”

Christine said she has been overwhelmed by the support she has received from all over the country and even across the world.

“The support has been unreal, it really has,” she added.

“Somebody texted yesterday to say I was on the news in Canada. I never expected this level of attention but I appreciate it and I’m very grateful for the positive comments and well wishes that are coming in.

“The support has been unbelievable and from other small businesses as well,” she added.

“Some are saying we wish we had the guts to do the same as you and I understand people fear the unknown about what will happen if they reopen.

“I can say to other businesses that you will get arrested and you will go to court and you will probably end up having to pay a fine.

"But I don’t regret what I did. I was at the end of my tether, I really was.”

I stan this lady. 👏

Ireland has the third strictest lockdown in the world behind Cuba and Eritrea (human rights dictators) and it looks like they'll extend it further to the end of 2022. Fuck the Irish government, they're completely power mad.

The CDC says no

If you were treated for COVID-19 with monoclonal antibodies or convalescent plasma, you should wait 90 days before getting a COVID-19 vaccine. Talk to your doctor if you are unsure what treatments you received or if you have more questions about getting a COVID-19 vaccine.
If what you say is correct they've contravened CDC guidelines and the woman's family should sue.

And yes vaccinating people who've already had Covid is maybe the most retarded thing ever. Giving a medicine that might make them produce non-Covid antibodies when they already have actual Covid antibodies is so dumb it makes my eyes bleed.

The vaccination push is a giant money pump. No doubt the facility was being being provided with incentives to give the shots. The same reason they were putting everyone on ventilators at the start of the pandemic, killing tens of thousands, and shoving the infected into nursing homes. The medical and pharmaceutical industries are staffed by some of the biggest money grubbing psychopaths in existence.

I wonder if he'll play that victim card again and blame Strobe lights as well for almost causing himself to have a near death experience.

Maybe if he tunes into CPAC before it ends he'll say such a thing and go sperg it out on twitter after his ritualistic hentai session.

Guy killed his reputation and integrity years ago and hopefully nobody takes him seriously anymore or at the very least has no idea who is outside of the memes.

Here I was hoping for The Troubles 2.0 and a few senior government officials to be bombed.

First, the resident had Covid and had to be hospitalized about a month before receiving the first injection. Don't you have antibodies from the infection making her not need the vaccine in the first place? Could the dangers potentially of this vaccine be worse if you have recently had Covid?
Basically yes.
So first note that there is more to an immune response than just antibodies, there are B-cells which make the antibodies and T-cells which destroy infected cells before the virus can lyse them and replicate; recovery from the real deal confers both T-cell and B-cell memory, even if the antibodies dont last (which there are multiple types of antibodies, some are built to last others not).

The issue is, politishits and journoshits have chosen the "actually COVID doesn't give lasting resistance!" as their hill to die on, and claim that recovery from the real deal is a fleeting effect (despite evidence to the contrary); meanwhile, most of these vaccines have not undergone clinical trials on people with natural recovery.
So basically journoshits and their politishit handlers want even those of us who have had it to take a vaccine that might fuck with us just because recovery might not give us lasting immunity?

I'm pleasantly surprised the CDC didn't recommend the vax after monoclonal antibody therapy.

I thought a judge ruled eviction moratoriums unconstitutional recently
That's why they will likely expire without renewal

Holy fucking shit. I don't think I can take it any longer. No theater visits, no festival or summer activity in sight, fined if you so much breath the outside air, can't travel unless you have proof you took the vaccine, tiny stores getting fucked and making towns ghost towns, can't go anywhere without being tracked down, the list goes on.
I went outside for a walk without a mask and got yelled at by a driver despite I was alone. And the gyms... The gyms here were forced to close. I've seen three gyms at the same spot come and go. Three.
I know a majority of people just stopped caring about the wuflu and went on with their daily lives, and that's good. But something need to be done with the activities that keep getting under forced lockdowns. Just watching movies in a small TV by myself isn't the same thing as walking to a theater and watching with an audience. A 'family' barbecue isn't the same thing as going to a carnival. Excercizing by myself in a park isn't the same thing as doing it in a gym. And just being on the phone or computer with some face video camera isn't the same thing as interacting face-to-face.
I miss connecting with random strangers.

I miss connecting with random strangers.
I'll be really interested in seeing the birth rates of these severely locked down places in the next few years.

Not just from the oopsies one night stands, but from the relationships that would have started in the past 12 months but didn't because people can't get together and hang out. And "somehow" the restrictions seem to be getting no better even though the vaccines are basically three months old now.

Pretty much everywhere around me has already written off this summer. There were more cancellations this week because New York State has basically said that there will be no permits for any outdoor activities for all of 2021. We're already at the point where we are hoping for NEXT (2022) summer to be more open, and it's not even March yet.

what the fuck
what about small things like sports and small family activities? Please tell me some people are refusing to oblige that and doing them anyway
I'm still surprised people are still bending over and taking it while it shows right in front of their eyes that its doing bad to them. No riots, either.
"You had a year taken from you, and we're taking another year from you." "'Kay." What the fuck?
You would had thought people would be jealous of the entire Florida a while ago. I even saw one person got berated just because he simply lives in Florida, and he didn't even say anything about how he lives in it, all he did was ask if a future concert would happen in another state (VA) because he won tickets for it.

I'm talking about permits. Anything like a 5K fun run is no dice. And those have to get planned months in advance and need permits.

Maybe something like a bunch of friends getting together for kickball will be okay. But I don't think organized sports will be allowed until fall at the earliest.
