Oh, definitely. Like with Cyberpunk, this was one of the few games they are actually going to buy - and all their posturing about how they're boycotting it is just hot air.

You can't play it though. That gets you a ban. But the troons can, hating every second of the hundreds of hours they put in to it.

The level of troonery as an option is worrying, though. It's one thing if the whole character creation is just a free-for-all in ways that don't affect the game. If it approaches anything involving actual trans content, though - a single troon NPC, the gender of your character actually mattering but letting you play a boy with she/her pronouns, any of it - I'll be deeply disappointed. One, that the devs caved to bullshit. But two, that a game set centuries ago where you are, it seems, playing somewhere between children and teenagers, includes the most modern of wokeshit involving the exact age range that is most vulnerable to it.

It's horrifying to think of the number of troons who would make MtF troon teenagers to 'reclaim the girlhood they never had' while playing the game, REEEEEEEEing at anyone else who dares to buy it but getting off to their own character.

I think that's a Steam clout thing. I've run into a few people that had 1,000+ games on Steam when they had played less than 5% of them. I guess if you have nothing to be proud of in your life, it's something.

I'm close to being one of those people (I think it's 300 games and I've played about half), it used to be easy to see some indie game I had a passing interest in for £3 or less, and buy it with the intention of playing it later. Then there were bundles adding half a dozen games I'd never heard of to my library just for the one I wanted. Add in "games" that are beta tests from before I bought the game, "dedicated server" versions, and the like, and the number creeps up fast.
