Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

Most of Congress, along with Biden, consists of fossils-- they probably screwed up somewhere so now your money is being sent to defense contractors.

I'm betting they've had him on a cocktail for the election that is now fucking up his organs and causing blurred vision so he can no longer even read teleprompters. It won't be long now before Kamala is going to take ol' yeller out for that final walk. Probably feed him a nice dinner of his favorite pudding flavors and top it off with a nice big syringe of that expensive insulin they got going on and call it "natural causes"

That's fine, but employment in the military shouldn't be the benchmark. Plenty of jobs are vital to running a country without being branches of the military.

Honestly, being a net contributor of income tax would be my choice.

Again, civilian volunteer corps. Firefighters, police, planting fucking flowers. Serve one year and you get citizenship.

I think that it's a waste of time to speculate on ways to change our government or how it functions unless you can express how that change might be beneficial to our oligarch masters.

Like, "If we expand voting rights to include 16 year-olds, that will give us more automatically generated ballots that we can use as cover for our systemic voter fraud." That sounds like it might work.
However, "If we make sure that the only people who vote are civically engaged people, with direct experience with the world and how bureaucratic systems function, in order to get a more educated base that selects candidates who are up to the job of governing." Well.... That's not going to help our owners very much, will it.
