MCU Television and Animation Series on Disney + - WandaVision, FATWS, Loki, etc

I'm gonna give a prediction now, and with my luck it will probably be wrong... But who knows? Maybe I'll look smart eventually, because I haven't seen anybody else guess this yet... (To be fair I haven't actually looked...)
When they said that Wanda "recast Pietro," my immediate thought is that's exactly what happened. But taking that literally, even though it's the same actor who played Quicksilver in the Fox version of the Xmen, my thought is that it's just a red herring/Easter Egg. I predict that in the context of the MCU, he's just some regular dude that Wanda (subconsciously?) chose to replace her brother, but he's played by Evan Peters. I also predict that this guy may not even have 'Quicksilver' powers at all, and just be some human dude who Wanda is (unintentionally?) mind controlled to play the part of her brother...
Ok so I wasn't *entirely* right here, it was Agatha all along after all... but I still think that the majority of this prediction I made weeks ago is still correct. (Mainly that Evan Peters being "recast" as Pietro was an easter egg, but not him literally being ripped out of the Fox Xmen universe). He does appear to have super speed, but he hasn't been shown to be nearly as fast as Peters was in the Fox xmen movies, even if they did choose to use a similar effect. I'm guessing that Agatha just used magic to give some random dude, who just so happens to look like Evan Peters, super speed.
Well I guess I look smart now.

Falcon and Winter Soldier Boss Discusses BLM, Pandemic Connections ( Archive )

Marcus Spellman, the head writer and showrunner of the Disney+ series that will follow WandaVision on the streaming service, spoke with SFX Magazine about bringing more of the Black experience into the world of superheroes. It's already been teased that the show will deal with uncomfortable issues, and Spellman said the ongoing work of the Black Lives Matter movement and its fight against police brutality is a part of that tapestry.

"It's funny, because if someone asked me, 'In a million years, could you have ever predicted what was going on?' I'm like, 'Yeah, I’m black,'" Spellman said. "We are uniquely qualified to diagnose this country and have a sense of where it's going. And Nate [Moore] is black and he's one of [Marvel Studios'] most senior execs, so he was the perfect partner for me."

Spellman, who previously worked on Empire, is referring to Nate Moore, the Marvel producer behind Black Panther, Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Captain America: Civil War. Together, along with director Kari Skogland, they'll explore what it means for a Black hero to wield the shield of Captain America. But the current pandemic will also have an analog in the "Blip," the in-universe name for Thanos' snap. The show, like WandaVision, will deal with the fallout of half the Earth's population disappearing and then returning five years later.

"There's no hiding from the fact that four billion people in the MCU disappeared for five years, and then came back. And our show picks up from there and directly talks about what the world feels like to be in flux and dealing with one global issue," Spellman said. "When the pandemic hits, and the entire planet has to come together and deal with it, the synergy there is perfect.

"The same thing with the issues of a black man confronting that shield," he continued. "The stories have been out there. They've been in our face forever. There's no avoiding it, and Marvel doesn't ask you to avoid it. What they do ask you to do is never burden the storytelling. Let the storytelling be energetic and fun and aspirational, and within that, be honest and be truthful."

Directed by Kari Skogland, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier stars Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Emily VanCamp, Wyatt Russell, Noah Mills, Carl Lumbly and Daniel Brühl. The series premieres March 19 on Disney+.

Well, finally saw the episode in full. All in all, it was OK. Honestly, a lot of the disappointment because there wasn't any massive revelations can be blamed on hype more than anything and the expectations people made for themselves. Yes, Disney did fan the flames a bit but honestly, it was mostly Youtube and Twitter that took all what was probably meant to be Easter Eggs for comic readers like me and theorized a massive expansion into the Multiverse.

This show was mostly advertised as a story that showed us Wanda's grief process and in that, I will say that the show delivered. I mean, people wanted something different and if you don't count the battles on the final episode, different is what we got. At least it shows us that Wanda is definitely a much better lead in terms of female protagonists than Carol or any of the upcoming IPs they're trying to push.

Save your complaints for when Kamala and America Chavez come along, people.

I really doubt (or hope) that America will be as far away from the modern comics version of her as possible. Kamala I'm looking forward to since her brand of fangirl shit has always been more endearing to me than the "toxic" kind you see on Twitter.

Yea finale was good in some ways, but it felt lacking to some of the episodes.

Still confused on what they are placing her as a villian or a hero? Or will she just be the psychotic hermit you visit when life gets ya bored.
I think she may become a anti-villain
I don't give a shit about Quicksilver or Mutantswank so seeing the fans of those get assblasted was great. Pietro being a rando named Ralph actually does more to explain why the fuck he knows Vision had died twice (since it seems all civilians as well know what happened during all the big Avengers fights) or why he doesn't know anything about Pietro and Wanda's shared childhood.

But overall, kind of meh on the finale. Not the worst I've seen, not the best. Vision vs Vision Blanco was pretty good and I liked the former defeating the latter with facts and logic. I was confused why Blanco fucked off when he got his memories back but I guess he doesn't have the emotional connection to them yet and has to figure that out. Why Vision didn't tell Wanda all of this is a bigger mystery. Wanda vs Agatha was a bland MCU CGIfest, kinda boring. Wanda using the runes against Agatha was a good idea and I'm fine with that. I do appreciate she didn't kill Agatha off and there's hints the latter might be useful in some point in the future. The first half of the episode especially was incredibly rushed. I have no idea why either, they desperately needed like another episode or an added 30 mins or so to this one, to spread things out a bit. I feel like even Wanda and Vision's last moments together suffered because of that. It was touching, ofc, and their scenes were the best part of the episode, but it needed a bit more, I dunno, room to breathe I guess.

Basically, glad that Vision survived in Blanco's form, Agatha is still around and there is hope for the twins. Now you'll have to excuse me while I forget this franchise exists until Wanda and/or Vision show up again since I don't actually like the MCU.
I mean at this point. I will mostly will follow their story line with in the MCU, since I'm invested with it.
She is probably gonna have a villain arc in the next Dr. Strange movie. Agatha's warning and the post credit scene where she is reading the Darkhold with ominous music playing kinda heavily foreshadows her going down a dark path. My prediction is she's a secondary villain in the movie and Dr. Strange with the help of Vision bring her back to their side to fight the main villain of the movie.
Same. I think that's what her role will be in there.
I imagine Mordo's going to try and take advantage of the situation. That guy sure likes his order.
That would be a good story line.
Well at least it won't be a 1:1 thing. I'm more interested in how Falcon and Bucky actually handle the new world more than anything.
I really hope they don't go too heavy on BLM. I want a cool story line, not a lecture about how cops are evil

Hey at least Wanda's in her comic outfit thats cool.

I have mix feelings on the final honeslty.

I remember seeing Elizabeth Olsen saying we were going to get a Luke Skywalker level cameo, and it wasn't Even Peters. So what was it?
again, that was one (1) journalist blowing shit out of their ass and making Olsen's basic answer to it ("there's a lot to look forward to!") mean much more than it actually was. And every journo and youtube clickbaiter ran with it, expecting Jesus Christ Magneto Xavier van Dyke Pacino to show up. I want to say that interview took place before Peters was revealed at the end of ep 5 , but everyone forgets him showing up got leaked beforehand so it's easy to pretend she meant someone else. Hell, she might've been trolling like Bettany and either meant Scarlet Witch finally showing up in full costume or she was in on the joke Bettany was having and meant Vision Blanco.

I was kinda right that Evan Peters would only be Evan Peters the actor, not Peter from XMU. At the end, the whole deal with the tv shows was just nostalgic bs to make up to 9 episodes.

It wasn't bad, but it didn't live up to the hype, and I don't mean the fan hype. We got just told Wanda's super Special™ now. Just another female character that got her powers bc she's a strong female character.

I personally liked the part when Monica basically said "those ungrateful bastards shouldn't be hating you if they knew you had to give up your fake family so they can live with their real ones". Phase 4 is gonna be amazing.

I really enjoyed the series overall. However the final episode felt kinda rushed. I didn't really mind that Wanda didn't get "punished" for fucking with the townspeople, but I didn't like the part where Monica more or less absolved her of guilt by saying I would have done anything to bring my mom back too.

I would just have Wanda be super remorseful and become the Avenger that regular people fear.

"She made me live in a nightmare. That bitch made me pray for death!"
