Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

But, aren't some people fine with that if all that's left is Amazon, which had record profits at the height of the pandemic? And everyone on the left makes fun of leftists being proud of being soy eating pod people in the big cities.
Some people ARE fine. But only a few are employed by Big Tech. Many are coasting on the finances propped up by several years of the Trump (TM) economy, even if they wont admit it. 2017-2019 was a really good time for the USA economically speaking, hell Americans saw the first increase in their purchasing power since 1971.

Then you have people spending the stimulus money on Amazon and trinkets, which congress has drug its feet on continuing now that bidens in.

That money isnt going to last forever, neither is the optimistic mindset. Eventually people will start tightening belts as their funds run dry, job opportunities stop coming in, pay cuts and hour reductions are implemented, ece. The entire economy is riding on a wave of optimism that things will go back to Normal soon, ignoring the growing debt bubbles the entire country is riding on right now. It will take several years for the effect of all that debt to hit full force.

Once that happens, many of the jobs that people are currently working from home, getting paid 2019 wages to do so, will disappear, and their spending

The real issue will not be a recession. They come and go. The real issue will be the lack of tools to fix anything. Interest is already basically nil, we're printing money and pumping debt bubbles. If THAT economy goes into recession there will be nothing the government could even try to stop it, and that kind of recession hits like a freight train. Asset prices are going to tumble after years of pumping.

I wouldnt want to be buying a house right about now.

I'm pretty sure "broken and powerless" is a fate most of them would consider worse than death.

I mean, they are already broken and powerless but to have it confirmed would be too much.
Honestly, I think the worst thing you can do to a leftist is have them go through what they put the right/someone they try to cancel through.

And then what, everyone becomes drivers for the likes of Uber and Doordash?

Key difference between the fundies and the SJWs, the fundies wanted to preserve Protestant values. SJWs destroy all standards. They are ALL MovieBlob where they can never admit to being humbled and no matter how often they get discredited by every standard, they will never admit defeat and they will never stop. They don't care about making sense and even with Biden remorse, they will still cheat to get their way.

The key failure of the Right was they weren't willing to risk Civil War by breaking into the vote counters to make sure Republican observers saw what they were counting. They wanted to rely on the law and while in normal circumstances, I would agree, the law actively failed at every turn. The Right--and Trump--was worried about the optics and they were cheated out of a fair election.
Evangelical Protestantism is definitely more compatible to the constitutional republic and secular state, but it definitely had its serious drawbacks and infringements on liberty. The fundies haven't admitted defeat either, and I wouldn't be surprised if they try to fill in the vacuum when Wokeness does lose popular support, because it will eventually.

If you wanted to preserve the US as having some form of power, you would want to avoid a civil war at all costs. Civil wars are inherently damaging and can set countries back for decades. Worse yet is what would happen in a US civil war, where foreign powers would get involved and start training and equipping local groups to further destabilize the country and advance their own political agendas. I would not ever wish for a civil war to take place.

Well, no, nobody would be able to afford that.

We know what it looks like already: we saw 2008. I used to say that the 2020s recession would be 2008 but less severe, but after watching asset prices go bezerk the last 18 months, I'm starting to think the 2020s recession WILL be another 2008, complete with rampant bankruptcy and company closures.

The economy would rebuild itself, eventually. It would be a slow and painful process though, complete with civil strife and anger.

Such an economy would be DISASTEROUS for the Woke Left though. Nobody, not even your grifter friends in HR, give a shit about your pronouns or what is Verboten this week when you cant put food on the table.

Here is the problem with that theory. Middle America/Working Class America didn't ever really come back from the 2008 recession, Trump did an okay job trying to kick the Middle Class's economy back into at least moving.

Biden is going to completely fuck that in the ass and if we hit another big economic Road Bump the middle class is absolutely fucked.

The fact that money is getting printed at record levels, and so little of it is going anywhere but the stock market and crypto, says this is coming. Bubbles are like balloons, you don't know when its going to explode but there are certainly warning signs its about to happen.
Both stock and crypto are essentially pyramid schemes. Your stock is "worth" $200 or your CrypCoin is "worth" $1500 because you think that someone will buy it for that. But they're both going to run out of buyers eventually. Crypto is safer than stocks, because it's a meaningless store of value, while stocks are tied to a business that can potentially fail. So, there's a number of wealthy fuckers out there looking to move out of the stock market and into the crypto market in anticipation of cascading failures of business. I think that doesn't just indicate a coming market crash, but it will actually help perpetuate it.

Let them starve. Hardship is long overdue in perhaps propagating some measure of constructive character in this wasted shitpile of a generation. Perhaps then we'll get strong men again.

I got into stocks and crypto since the shutdowns started and my stocks have been eating shit lately where my crypto is climbing enough to make up for the losses. I figured it had to do with the lack of faith in the US dollar but im still pretty new to this shit.

I think if another crash occurred, the upper classes would be the most hurt. They are the ones buying up property, which would become worthless. The Middle class never really recovered, but as a result also never really reinvested into this new economy. They dont have the built up wealth they did in 2008 to lose.

Agreed. The rich are just using crypto the same way the Chinese 1% use the housing markets of California to hide wealth. Big companies chose NOW, of all times, to invest when the currency has been around for years at a much cheaper rate? That's not genuine interest.

I'd like to believe that will happen, as grifters usually suffer the worst after recession, and each major recession seems to breed a different type of grifter. The modern woke grifter came about after the 2008 crash, what will come of this one?

AS much as I find the Left distasteful and seemingly hell-bent on destroying the beliefs and values that define the US, I cannot accept the idea that they are an other that needs to be destroyed. They need to be humbled, they need to be discredited, and they need to be ridiculed into the ground like what was done to the Fundamentalist Christian Right, but to argue that the US needs to engage in a civil war to preserve its greatness is remarkably short-sighted. I know you didn't call for a civil war, but that sort of thinking is sadly what leads to one.
You know that "those bombs are a bit expensive" thing posted earlier?

How do you "humble" delusion, dishonesty, and blatant double-dealing like this, especially when it is backed by vast institutional power?

All defeats are temporary. Their victories are permanent. Show me a single one that can be reasonably reversed.

There is always one option.

The Supreme System Lord can't be resurrected soon enough.

Save us Ra!
Wasn't Ra atomized when O'neill and Jackson ringed a nuke aboard his ship and the nuclear explosion was enhanced by the Naqueda in the Stargate?

Heck, Ra's didn't even ascend like Anubis did. I think Ra is gone.

gonna be great when we get the $15 an hour federal minimum wage. Will help a lot of Americans. Any day now...

By the time the Senate is done with it the stepped up increase to the minimum wage will reach $15/hr somewhere around 2030

Much in the same way that the Fundies weren't actually defeated, they were just ridiculed into irrelevance. There's no actually changing the vast majority of these peoples' minds, but thankfully the hardcore believers aren't actually a majority. Ridicule the hardcore long enough and truly expose them for the totalitarian dickheads that they are for long enough and they will lose their cultural power.

Think about why all of a sudden there are so many "Cancel Culture isn't real, bigot, and if it is, it's actually conservatives cancelling liberals" articles coming out: they're sensing that people are starting to catch on and they need to redirect the narrative to paint themselves as the victims and fighters for equality and the working class. Forcing the pendulum the other way takes time, and especially with how entrenched their ideology is, it will take awhile for them to lose their cultural power, but it will happen sooner or later.

As to your question about who can get reasonably reversed, I can't really point to specific people but I can at least speak from my own experience that I was SJW adjacent until about 2016, and I managed to go completely the other direction. It's definitely hard to get past all that programming, but some individuals do manage to back away, just like with any fringe ideology/worldview.
