Anytime people on Reddit have fun at the expense of the Reddit hivemind they get shut down pretty quickly. Sadly I don't see this subreddit surviving the weekend. As soon as one piece of bad press comes out about it they'll ban it.

Reddit doesn't actually give a shit about values or opinions, they just worry about looking bad to the public and to potential advertising customers. That's why the original banwave happened (the one that banned /r/jailbait, /r/picsofdeadkids, and a few others). And I'd bet that's why places like /r/the_donald and /r/chapotraphouse got banned as well.

If you make Reddit look less friendly to advertisers, you're on borrowed time.

Shit reddit says was the original AHS group (probably the same people even). They had former Reddit staff in the mods and were immune to all rules on the website. They got used as attack dogs against subs that didn't technically break the rules but needed to be raided and handed over to new owners (guess who). It's an old practice on Reddit, known long before the ban waves hit.
