Legally, it's not the same as murder and I can't get pregnant anyway, so that isn't really my concern and it's a moot point anyway.

But to answer my question, are you actually religious and if so, what sect do you belong to? If you're not a crypto-fedora, you'd be able to easily answer that question to prove me wrong.

Here’s something a little philosophical to veer from the pro-life/pro-choice topic:

In terms of quality of life, the viability of the fetus, and what deformity the fetus has, where do we draw the line? At what point do we consider something is a form of eugenics?
We have places like Norway that allow women to abort if their future child is determined to have Downs Syndrome.
That being said I do think it’s up to the parents to decide whether to keep their potato or not. But they really have to consider the child’s quality of life in the long run.

Do you also believe the Pope is infallible too? 'Life begins at conception' was originally a Catholic doctrine.

'Life begins at conception' was considered a fringe and Catholic concept until Jerry Farwell adopted it and started slowly influencing the Republican party (and many Protestant Christians) back in the 1970s. Until then, many Protestant Christians were pro Roe vs. Wade supporters because likely they had grown up hearing about and likely knew women that had died or became infertile or crippled from dangerous back-alley abortions, so it wasn't like today where these type of abortions became rare (because they now had doctors to provide them.)

What also was different at the time was that Protestant Christians believed in that ensoulment began at the first 'quickening' (when the mother first starts feeling the baby move) which seemed to be based off of Jewish beliefs. Before ensoulment, abortions were not usually considered murder, but after that they would be.

The reason why I asked whether or not abortion was under the Biblical definition of murder is because people can be prone to reading what they think 'ought to be' into the Bible. For many years before the Civil War, Southern Christians read 'slavery is good' rather then what it actually was, which was slaves and slavery being used as examples for Biblical concepts or slaves being bid to use their particular position to reach their masters.

Hell, I'd say half of them don't even think as deeply as that. I wouldn't put it past a lot of them doing this and saying this solely to be edgy.

Sort of like the kid in grade school who randomly yells swear words in class just to get a rise out of people. All edge with no point.

Half of this thread is people like Freya and Android Raptor verbally masturbating to the thought of killing babies; when when people say 'that's kinda fucked up' they just scream and howl and rage for a bit and say we all hate women. I did an actual effort post about my view on abortion a bit further back which Freya or Android (can't recall which) responded with 'tl;dr', which sort of sums up the entire 'pro abortion' side of the thread.
