Why does that equate to destroying "social constructs" that society clearly generated for a reason? Just because its a norm doesn't make it a bad thing by default. Its a norm we wear pants, its also a norm that hitting your partner isn't cool. Some of these norms are codified into laws, but unspoken social rules usually evolve for a reason. Unless the norm is actively harmful there isn't a reason to deconstruct it even if it is just a social construct.

Where does heteronormativity even come into it? The kid wants to play with makeup, he isn't necessarily going to be gay. Plenty of straight rocker, metalhead, goth and emo men wore makeup and picked up chicks back in the day. And he looks far too young to be interested in girls OR boys, both the adults seem pretty noncey in this scenario - one letting his kids wear makeup labelled "CUTE" (though if it's just gloss it probably isn't that bad) and the other commenting on the kid getting dates.
