Italy will be on lockdown for Easter as the country struggles to contain spiking COVID-19 cases.

Starting Monday, Italians in the most populated regions will be required to stay home except for work, health or other essential reasons.

The whole country will be locked down on Easter weekend for the second year in a row from April 3-5.

Cases have been rising across the country in excess of 25,000 a day over the past six weeks, as Italy’s vaccination campaign is hit by delays.

Officials warn they are quickly losing ground in the fight against new, highly contagious variants.

Back into lockdown you go.

I know people who are now saying they won't be around anyone socially who had the 'Rona unless they can produce a negative test result.

How long until friends won't allow you around unless you get the vaccine?

Madness.
At least my friends are concerned on where to go. They still want to meet up but they are too worried about everything. One has huge anxiety issues in the best of times and you have to reassure her on everything.

With this scamdemic - forced on us by corrupt elite - dragging on for a year now, can you imagine how it's messing with the development of babies born around the time this whole shitshow started? They've gone their first year or so pretty much never seeing the face of anyone but their parents at home. And who knows how this insane "New Normal" is impacting the growth of older kids.

I'm still not used to everyone muzzling up BTW. This whole scamdemic circus is like something out of The Twilight Zone.
The USA had a "baby bust" from the quarantine, so I hope those babies enjoy being part of a real life Children of Men.

Something I've been thinking of for quite a long time is how these lockdowns are really going to affect the demographics of a lot of first world countries. Canada (the country where I'm from) has had some of the most stringent lockdowns, the US has been pretty bad in a lot of places, the UK seems pretty bad from what I can tell and so on and so forth. Pre-Covid all of these countries already had very low birthrates at least at is pertains to the native white populations. It's not exactly any secret that these countries sure have been hell bent on bringing in massive waves of immigration (including illegals specifically in the case of the USA with a likely uptick in both legal and illegal with a Biden presidency underway). Only Covid has been putting any kind of real dent in that recently.

I have thought for a long time that once a lot of these restrictions calm down that the government in my country will immediately significantly boost immigration using the reason that we desperately need to boost our economy, and with it being Canada that number never seems to go down once a new precedent has been set. I'm in no way claiming that Covid has just all been around immigration or anything, but what I'm saying is that I think many governments based on how they acted pre-Covid are absolutely going to double down on permanent demographic change that we were already quickly heading towards.

This is the primary reason I now hate this shithole.

TikTok nurse vaccine saga:

She hasn't posted since last month...

Tornado season is now starting in the South for the second time under the 'pandemic' and from what I heard on Georgia, the public shelters are still closed. Totally nice to see they have the right priorities of putting a sickness with a very high survival rate in front of protecting your own life from acts of nature for a full year and still going.

Friendship ended with Doug Ford; Now, Governor DeSantis is my best friend. (As if I ever liked that fat fuck Dougie to begin with lmao) This sounds dumb, but you know what I miss? Wal-Mart pizza buns, a six pack for like, $5. I just want to be able to go to my local Wal-Mart again, without having to wait for an hour in a line to get in. I'm so sick of this shit. Despite the fact that the deaths have been declining for the past couple months, Big Doug still has us in what, Red Zone? But at least it's not Grey Zone, right? haha...

It's going to be Twilight Zone for you Leafs soon. :woo:

At least in the US things are trending in the opposite direction and with more vaccinations (no matter how much I don't want to personally get one) it's becoming increasingly hard to call for new lockdowns. America #1 baby.
I dunno, friend. This morning on the news they are already talking about how Christmas mass will still be socially distanced, and the crawl said the mayor is hoping most large venues are able to open full capacity at the end of the year. I don't think they're going to let this go, vaccines or not. And I foresee that every. single. festival at the lakefront this year will be cancelled - again. Summerfest has been moved to three weekends in September again (like last year, lol).

I can't do this another year. If I don't get out of this house soon (it's been over 6 months since I've been anywhere other than the corner store) I'm gonna snap - and that's no good for anyone.

Sounds like you should move out of your shitty state and take your taxes somewhere better.

What I learned from corona: don't surround yourself with people who are susceptible to libtardation both in commie blue states (duh) but also in "red" states. We weren't as free as I thought before this started, all it took was a mild cold and misinfo coming out of china and now the government has new powers to decide which businesses are allowed to operate and every aspect of your life. I already knew that once the government has a new power it does not give it up -ever- and this is especially true with covid-time powers.

So stay in your on-again off-again shithole state, or move to where you're allowed to prosper.

Everyone can feel an economic collapse of our own making coming from the retarded shutdowns and the insane money printing. Imagine how they will overreact when this next econ crisis presents itself. Don't be in an area that will go full commie at the drop of a hat, live in an area that will maintain as much of your rights as the men & women around you are willing to fight.

I respect people who have decided that smaller countries overseas are the best route to flee to. But imo there won't be anywhere safe to flee and my best bets are heavily armed red states that resisted the corona overreaction from the beginning. If you live in a coastal blue state may god have mercy on your soul.

Ok got all the doomposting out of my system, that other thread about Dom Cruise turning over a new leaf inspired me to get it all out of my system and never talk about it again. Except maybe on prepper threads, crypto threads, or threads about corona or politics. :punished:

The theory is that the push to keep the lockdowns going, even with all the vaccinations and the fact that the pandemic is obviously done, is they're terrified that inflation will get out of control once folks get back to normal.

We're looking at a fiscal deficit of around 25% GDP this year which could go as high as 33% depending if the Dems decide another stimulus is needed. Not to worry as the structural deficit is "only" 12-15% with the rest being one off Trump/Biden bux.

Increased money supply has not equaled runaway inflation as billions of people have been literally locked in their houses for months on end. Lockdowns are too useful just to give up because the moderately bad chest cold pandemic is over.
