More of a Kiwi Farms sideshow, I guess, but I was just looking at an old Kiwi Farms thread about one of the early infamous Internet troons, JDR/Chatoyance/Jennifer Diane Reitz. Thought it was kind of interesting how, for the first couple pages everyone is using she/her without any sort of disagreement or equivocation. Thread goes dead, gets a 3-year necro (still gets very infrequent posts now), and suddenly it's mixed, leaning heavily towards he/him.

I know that Kiwi Farms used to have a lot of tranny posters in the past, but I wonder when this shift really happened and how long it took.
I think that's just because the troon lobby became what it is now. A few years ago many people would have had no problem using whatever pronouns a cow wanted because they thought it didn't matter and it cost nothing. But these days pronouns are wielded as a weapon and we have learned not to give the troons an inch, because they will take a mile.

It's Melbourne. He's gonna grow a fit, get lots of gibs and the nightclub is gonna get trannybombed. Maybe throw a Green politician in there to kiss his ass and start campaigning to further erode women only spaces.

If it was possible to throw all of Victoria into the ocean with Tasmania the rest of the country would be better of. They're both so disgustingly woke.

Hell, I'm pretty sure that countries like China, Laos, Cambodia, and Russia still criminalise LGBTQ+ activities.

There are literally multiple gay night clubs and bars in moscow. But they don't have pride parades nor do they teach the wonders of anal sex to children. Like most countries in the world, it's a thing of "it's fine, just don't push it on others or involve others"

Simona? I mean make an effort, don't just add an a to your name
Or at least make an effort and transition from Castricum to Castratum

True. Russian laws don't prosecute LGB per ce but only for activism.

Someone in some place in Asia published an opinion piece about feeling unable to ask questions about trans issues because of cancel culture (archived article, link to tweet and archive).

Responses to the article are what anyone reading this thread would expect.

(I don't know how to archive links to quoted Tweets without an account so this is the best I have, sorry.)

Classy

I think the article jumped headfirst into the issue, but it was surprisingly updated on current debates and took a far kinder stance than what angry terminally online people deserve.

Apologies if this type of content doesn't belong here or if I messed up the post, am newfag

Late reply, but women in sports are more concerned about the fact that with the general logic, anyone can 'identify' as a trans woman. You don't even need to 'participate in femininity' (aka actually try to look like your gender you're LARPing) and you're a wamen in their eyes. That means that any fucking joe schmoe can just waltz in, say they're Joelina now, and get scholarship money, set records, get on professional teams, all because they know they're a fucking loser who can't cut it with their own fucking gender.

Are these people genuinely that fucking dense and naive that they think nobody would fucking take advantage? Not even in America, in other countries where you get better treatment and extra money for being really fucking good in the Olympics? Russia was banned for a reason.

case in point:

View attachment 1995056

he obviously did it as a joke, and arguably it got removed because he wanted to continue to compete as male, but he did prove your point. If he only cared about getting that record, he'd just continue to identify as female. No need for hormones or surgery - he didn't even need to shave for it

It's as easy as signing up. Some dude already pranked a competition in Ireland.

I unironically like hot pink so I better start wearing a skirt and sucking some dicks

I buy the cheapest bodywash at the supermarket, and they sell it in two different colored bottles - one is pastel with wavy text on the label and one is dark with impact text on the label. Same brand, same price, go on sale at the same time, can't tell the difference in smell. Sometimes I get the pastel bottle, even if they aren't sold out of the dark bottle. FUCK.

Simona? I mean make an effort, don't just add an a to your name
And here I was giggling at "Castrate-cum."

“I’m sorry there’s going to be a lot of swearing bc I’m Italian.”
Didn’t realize Fredo Cuomo was trans.

Isn’t it that while being gay is legal, they’ll just extrajudicially kill you anyway?

That's true. I remember that there have been some horror stories about gay men being lit on fire.

But this article says:
One LGBT activist was killed and seven were injured in Russia last year, SOVA said. In comparison, one LGBT activist was killed and five were injured in 2018.

If you go to the report in the article it says that the amount of homophobic violence is unknown, so it's believed to be worse.

Russia does have a law against "gay propaganda"

It's definitely not comfortable to be gay in Russia. In general I'd say that countries like Russia, Ukraine and Poland are the worst ones, whereas other countries like the Czech Republic or even Serbia are much more lenient. Saying that you're gay on TV in Serbia (or in any former Yugoslavian country) will not harm you that much. As far as I know in Russia it's even forbidden to mention your sexuality on TV (Maybe I've misread this).
In Russia, however, I'd also say it's much much worse in Chechnya than in a city like Moscow.

And their definition of propaganda is ridiculous. If it was something like "You aren't allowed to educate children about homosexuality in school" it would be one thing. I mean, I'd be really glad if the troon ideology would be banned in public schools.
But for them propaganda even includes gay people trying to help people who are struggling with their sexuality.
