I get why he would lie though, he gains nothing from telling the truth, because it's a scenario that would never happen. Taking the high road for once and not making a show out of it though, it's a Christmas Miracle. He should try that more often, it might make his life easier.

If he lowers the difficulty, then the trolls win, or whatever stupid 'tism narrative he's reinforcing to himself every time he chooses "Retry" instead of "Change Difficulty".

Or maybe it's also a stalling tactic to drag out the playthrough longer so he can milk more tardbux from the usual whales without having to take any hit to the net profits by purchasing a different game.

Or maybe, and the most likely answer, is both.

People just don't wake up one day with depression for no fucking reason. God, I want to punch him.

Yes, if you were treated for clinical depression you will always have the risk of relapsing, but Phil didn't go through anything serious like that. Feeling sad and stressed for a couple of months because you are a manchild who doesn't know how to live on his own is not the same as having depression. And how sick would someone have to be in order to flex on a bunch of wheelchairs that they had depression. The way he expresses himself is so fucking offensive.

Depression is like gout. It doesn't go away. Who would have thought, huh? Same thing with his back pain. It could come back. Phil must think of himself as a real mature adult to have suffered from all of those afflictions. But of course, you would have to experience gout, depression and a herniated disk to actually understand.

Phil, if Leanna leaving you caused you to be depressed, you're not prepared for the feelings that will follow after your spergmate abandons you or one of your parents dies. It's going to be worse. It's still not going to be depression though, because you don't have enough humanity in you to experience actual depression. Fuck you.

As his life kept getting "better and better," he "snapped" himself out of his depression? I love that you can see the moment immediately after where he realized what he just said, his eyes go wide and he says "not to say depression ever goes away!"

DSP not doing something for money? The test has determined that this is a lie. I see moments like this and think they'd be great if Phil had any wit. It can't be said enough how awful of a streaming personality he is. Streamers generally maintain some kind of back and forth with their viewers but Phil is like a talking wall. He tries to find things to say but when people tip or cheer questions he either addresses them in a terse, no-nonsense manner, or he just flat out doesn't answer them properly.

Stream Elements just crashed and now tech support phill will put the game on hold to fix this shit AND he got a lot of chargebacks.
Step it up piggies. Send it directly to his paypall if you have to. If he doesn't hit the tips goal his catson won't eat tonight
