OK. So I was kind of onboard with all this until the "all men have muhsoggykneez in them!111" shit appeared. No self-respecting man will listen to somebody who says stuff like that. The people reposting these types of posts on Instagram are completely oblivious or unaware of some of the most predatory and sleazy men. Those who constantly bleat about feminism and are self-described male feminists are pretty suspect for being actual sociopathic predators who take advantage of this movement to prey on vulnerable women. Nevertheless, those who call out the bullshit and are doing the right thing don't need to tell everyone about it. They just do it. Actions speak louder than words.
I'm not going to autistically break down the entirety of the stupidity this retard posted, but I'll hit some high points.
- "1/3 women in this country are raped!" - No, you're misunderstanding statistics, and failing to account for things like multiple victimizations experienced by an individual in a high-risk demographic, I.E. - young women that run away from a fatherless home, and end up substance-abusing, semi-homeless, sex-workers. If a high-risk individual is raped 10 times, that's 10 incidences, and if you stand her in a room with 9 other women that have never been raped, the incidence is still 100%, because she's lives a "high-risk lifestyle."
- "[Basically a bunch of shitty image macros that rehash the Poison M&M fallacy]" - the overwhelming majority of rapists are serial offenders, and that overwhelming majority of offenders are raised in single-parent homes, which happen to be almost exclusively single-MOTHER homes. The notion that you know a bunch of guys that you suspect are secretly rapists indicates 1 of 3 things - you're either a paranoiac, or you have absolutely zero capacity to make healthy decisions about social and romantic relationships, or both. No matter which of those is the case (although I lean heavily towards the 3rd option), you need seriously mental health assistance.
Also worth noting that feminists have tried to brutalize the definitions of sexual assault, sexual harassment, rape, and associated behaviours, in an attempt to water them down to make them so broad as to be both useless, and functionally all-encompassing; they've also gone out of their way to misuse prevalence to mischaracterize the risk of rape on campuses and generally, while using broad definitions. According to US feminists, a woman on campus is at greater risk of rape than a woman in the war-torn Congo, and a woman off campus is only marginally safer. The notion that any parent is going to send their daughter to a university campus where they have a 1-in-4 chance of being raped boggles my mind, and the actual reality is that the incidence is 0.006% for university students, and 0.0067% for the average woman, according to the DoJ.
Worth pointing out that the FBI has previously reported "false and unfounded accusations" to be somewhere around 8%, which is 4x the rate for any other index crime, although they stopped reporting that almost immediately after they started, probably because feminists got mad that their narrative was being contradicted.
