I remember seeing a poll on an Incel forum that was asking the users' ages. The majority of the userbase was under eighteen. I found this surprising, but I really shouldn't have 'cause it's just the right age to fall into that nonsense. Because of the internet and these incredibly niche communities, kids are being radicalized on every subject now, not just politics. While a young man might've bitched about girls and women to his friends just ten years ago and left it at that, now they're being absolutely defeated and regressing in their growth because of these really horrific echo chambers. I'm not calling for any action to be taken against these groups, mind you, it's just something I've noticed.

I suspect that a lot of these men didn't have good male role models growing up, or Jesus for that matter.

Incel stands for "involuntarily celibate", and, while it can be pretty vague (due in part to many sub-groups of incels engaging in purity tests to try and prove that they're the most victimized group out there) it can be roughly defined as "an identity-based group of men who believe they are being unfairly denied access to sexual partners for various reasons". Said reasons can vary, but usually boil down to a combination of the following theories of human behavior:
-"Hentai Heroine" theories: Modern women, whether due to biological or deep-rooted cultural reasons, only care about sex partners based on their sexual performance and ability to induce orgasm in them, and as a result will only sleep with men who are exceptionally virile and well-endowed and reject anyone without the sexual abilities of a porn star or fertility deity out of hand. This often extends to accusations that bestiality is extremely commonplace among women due to a belief that animals have inherently superior sexual performance/more stimulating genitals than people. It's that you think it's involuntary. With most "incels" it's a self-identification thing rather than a real thing. They are complete assholes with shitty personalities, and they completely refuse to improve themselves so that anyone would find them attractive, while simultaneously demanding only the hottest of women.

As people have often noted when actually looking at these threads where incels post selfies, they're mostly at least average looking guys, not horrific uggos who would be justified in bemoaning their fates.

What these sad entitled shut-ins never seem to understand is that having "chad genes" or a certain "jawline" really isn't everything in a relationship. Even if the ugliest of women or men have cute boyfriends or girlfriends, they have some chemistry with each other or traits they find very attractive because they're genuinely kind people. While I think the "Incel panic" by the media is pretty stupid, these very unpleasant individuals taught me a very valuable lesson. Even though physical attractiveness and other valuable innate traits are very important for many people, it's just not good enough on their own. You can have all the good looks, brains, talent, etc. in the whole world, but if your personality and attitude are crap alone, don't even expect to get very far in life.

I hope they do, but one of the defining traits of an incel is that they want, at minimum:
-A virgin
-With the morals of a churchgoing spinster
-The work skills and ethic of a housemaid
-The body of a glamour model

Picture this: Some incels imagine going back to the days when women had no rights and were property.
