That angle is just to make sure he doesn't accidentally show anything in his goutfort I think, he could've been normal and just walk outside or something so that he doesn't have to use the world's worst crotch shot but that's effort I guess.

I'm not even gonna fathom the thought process into posting this. Imagine being 40 years old and the highlight of your day was not being in your jammy jams for once.

Regular adults post pictures with friends, nice views, family, pets, and special occasions on Instagram.

I've mentioned this before, but it's not that much better in context. That mayoboi that Phil was laughing at for wearing Japanese clothes and playing a Japanese woodwind instrument is one of the few people on Earth who can play that particular instrument on his level. Him, his teacher (another white guy) and about 3 dozen stodgy old Japanese boomers from what I remember. Of course, who's easier for the guys at Sucker Punch to fly to E3 for a few days? Some middle-aged white dude who from what I remember is American so it's not even that far away for him? Or some old stodgy Japanese dudes who most likely can't even speak a lick of English?
In any case, Phil was making fun of a guy who has dedicated his life to completely master playing multiple musical instruments, one of which being the shakuhachi, just because he was dressed like a medieval Japanese peasant for the show.

I'm pretty sure Phil has made antiasian/racist remarks more recently than 10 years. Theres just so much out there.. all that spam he put out and all the other bad things he does just ends up working in his favor and its so much work to dig out since it all blurs together.

Phil has this obsession with his own version of the Motte and Bailey fallacy. In its simplest form the Motte and Bailey fallacy rests on making a sweeping claim that's not really easy to defend and then falling back to an easier to defend position and implying that the sweeping claim is true as a result. I.e. In Phil's case "I'M NOT A RACIST DOOD" then when he gets shown evidence he falls back on "THAT WAS 10 YEARS AGO DOOD", "I WAS A YOUNG, MATURE ADULT BACK THEN", "IT'S OUT OF CONTEXT" etc, and as far as Phil is concerned despite it ignoring so much other evidence to the contrary it shows he isn't Racist as far as he's concerned.

It would be so much easier to come up with a name for this instead of stating the obvious each time it happens but I can't think of much better name than Motte and Davey... Perhaps the DSPhillacy/DSPhallacy (Phallusy). I'm willing to offer a grand prize of one firm e-handshake to anyone who can come up with a better name.

So while yes it sounds like that is the spirit of the policy, the actuality is that that policy is just there for Twitch to use as an excuse to fuck over people who had the "wrong opinion" on social media but have not violated TOS whatsoever on Twitch.
