Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

Balkanization. Probably what China is hoping for anyways so that once the world's hegemon finally keels over and dies they can take over (So they think). Likely it will be Russia or a stronger European country moving in to fill the gap.

Then, in response to North Korea not talking to them (Which they do frequently like children. You just wait them out), his Defense Secretary goes full "U wanna fite me irl m8?" on them?


They just created two legitimate international incidents within 24 hours. Amazing.

Keep in mind relatively bloodlessly is still somewhat bloody. Yeah, the distance and size of the island mean China's got good odds of pulling it off... but if they manage to hold on to the point China's forced to send in a second wave or start launching airstrikes in support, China's either going to have to back down or keep going, and if they do the latter (and almost certainly so since its either that or admit defeat and pay reparations) Taiwan's going to be forced to respond accordingly. And things will escalate from there.

A sneaky amphibious assault that ends in surrender of the defenders and rapid repatriation and (internationally forced) indemnity is what China really wants, but the chances of that working as opposed to things bogging down and some moron calling in fire support that forces an all around escalation is pretty damn low.

The funny thing is, Putin probably has killed someone before. He actually had a real job—he was in East Germany as a KGB agent, if I recall, when the USSR collapsed. He was actually in danger. The most danger Biden has been in was when he got caught plagiarizing his law school papers. I'm not even a Putin simp, but having met actual Russians and discussed him with them, I realize that he is exactly what many Russians want in their leader—effective, punches above his weight, tactical, cold to the outside world, able to poke at the west without danger of getting his fingers chopped off, etc. Biden against Putin in a debate would be like putting winnie the poo against a polar bear.

Biden really fucked up here. Calling Putin a 'killer' is such an empty and hypocritical insult. Putin knows that Biden is so many levels beneath him, not just intellectually but by any measure. Biden has been the embodiment of mediocracy his entire career, and now he's obviously very diminished from even that. Had he been born in the Soviet Union around the same time as Putin, he'd be long dead by now.

The dude is ex-KGB, kills his political rivals and journalists who don't suck him off, and he remained in power due to a loophole he found in Russia's political system. The dude is so cunning he would dissect Biden in a debate, & Biden couldn't even hold water against Trump in a debate stacked in his favor.
