I will never understand why women like Anna buy lingerie. Not even because she's fat, but because she's just chronically single, and as some have speculated a virgin. What is the point of spending over 400 bucks on all this when you're only gonna wear it while lounging on your couch stuffing your face?

Shopping for fun stuff, especially in people with shopping addition, is usually done mostly for the shot of dopamine from having a shiny new item, not for practical purposes. And Anna has to keep buying new clothes, that's like 90% of her content.

She's not even going to wear it while lounging on her couch, stuffing her face. None of it looks comfortable, and I'm sure she can't wait to cut that shit off herself and get back into the ubiquitous baggy t-shirt and sweats that you know she wears off-camera.

But she's bought the idea (created by advertising) that normal women buy and wear this kind of lingerie as an act of self-love and empowerment, regardless of whether there is a partner in their life or not. And of course it's not about improving the lives of women in any real way; it's about cultivating narcissistic, mirror-gazing fantasies of "sexiness," in the name of selling more lingerie and other tangentially-related crap.

TBF, a lot of young women in their late teens and 20s buy this kind of stuff because advertising and various influencers have promised that it's a way to be good to themselves and will help them feel "sexy"--only to quickly realize what bullshit that is. But Anna's 36 or 37 and should know better by now.

And maybe she does, but she's so desperate for money and attention, she'll sell anything that crosses her path. I mean, this is the woman who shilled for three different "favorite" skin-care lines within a 6-month period.

I can't imagine how awful a bra band would feel tucked up into a crevice like that. Between her backfat and small bust, even a higher coverage sports bra get sucked in and if you try to find a regular longline bra (to eliminate the rollsucking) you can't really find anything with a big band, with a B-cup.

Honestly, it wouldn't even be a bad idea for her to get a bigger bust size and just stuff with cutlets, if only for the coverage available in them tig' ol bitty sizes.

I really do hope she gets approved and buys a house soon. Can't wait to hear about how she was "tricked" once the housing bubble bursts. In my area at least, it's expected to burst late autumn, then bleed for a few years à la 2007-~2014.

Anna was an obese child; during her formative years stylish clothing options were probably pretty limited.

A lot of fashionable people develop their sense of style through trial and error, especially during their teens and early twenties. It’s not effortless— you have to understand what looks bad on you to recognize what looks good and then translate that to whatever look you want to achieve.

Because Anna was a fat girl with limited options and no artistic talent, she never developed any taste when it comes to her appearance. She copies from other, more put together women but always seems to miss some crucial step, whether it be proportion, color, or fabric choice. She doesn’t seem to understand clothes and fashion at all which makes her little “fashion history” schoolmarming all the more confounding.
