I find communists tend to be more direct on their ideology, ranging from Stalin apologia to "This time it will work guys! Trust me." Socialists will write you an essay about how and why their specific form of socialism will work and already exists in X country, even if it is something like claiming the Nordic countries are socialist due to their welfare states.
