When I first turn my computer on every day, 8/10 times it will crash in 0-5 minutes with a memory related blue screen (irql drivers, memory fault in nonpaged area, attempt to write to read only memory, etc). Restarting the computer fixes the problem and it doesn’t happen on that second boot, only the first time each day. I ran the built in windows memory diagnostic and found no problems. Even though these are memory related blue screens, I get the feeling there’s some other problem, since it started happening around the time I reinstalled windows. So, do you guys think this is a hardware problem with the ram sticks or a software problem? I could run a real memtest86 which I haven’t yet. Can software even cause these types of bluescreens?
