Designated Whiner Shitting Street - General non DSP-specific discussion and stupid questions goes here

you guys think we're due to get demoted from our special cult section anytime soon??

In anony's narcissistic, diseased brain he told himself he was performing an act of bravery and charity that would take Phil down a notch and break free a few piglets from the Bacon Farm.

To anyone not retarded, it was transparently for revenge for his own hurt feelings. Why now? Why not 3 years ago? There's no actual extreme circumstances going on here. His own butthurt was the only difference between this BOMBSHELL!! and his spending ANOTHER three years thinking he was both playing Phil and lording his banhammer over 500 plebs. Morality? Nope. Vindication? Hell no. Lulz? Enough to justify one kiwifarms thread, barely.

People saying he's welcome to stick around? No way anony stays away, what else does a 3 year mod for King Pig have in his life to do? At most he changes his name and starts modhunting another channel he can farm internet clout (lol) in. The fuck else is a furry attention whore going to move on to? Yeah man take a break from DSP's community to work on yourself and become a social worker or finally get that doctorate you're so close to. Or better yet drink bleach faggot. Your uncle should have diddled you to death.

if you faggots derail this thread one more time over a thirty year-old film i'm spending the next year beating your surviving loved ones to death

Ok, fag.
Listen me very carefully because there is something that you may not be aware of untill know.

De gustibus non est disputantum.

I may like or dislike DSP, how he behaves and treats his viewers but his personal likes and dislikes are NOT part to be mocked. Do you understand the fact that people like and dislike things based on their personal views or is it too much for you? I share same view about original Blade Runner with Phil because I was never, am and will be part of herd that follows some trivial artistic opinions that some movies or songs are taken to be praised just because we like the director or singer.
Original Blade Runner is a fucking garbage and Ridley Scott accounted for that releasing his "directors cut" which is even dumber than original version.

He's not disputing your tastes, he's saying keep your comments on topic.. Fuck, now you've got me off base.

Fuck Phil.

Alright I'm back.

Then why the fuck the Phil's Blade Runner opinion was even mentioned huh? To mock the guy for disliking the movie.
Yes, but also to bring up high hopes for him shifting gears from pure gameplay to reviewing more stuff
Also you can't exactly defend Phil's "taste" in things because he rarely, if ever, puts in the effort to properly get invested into and enjoy things. He not only has the attention span of a goldfish but is also a die-hard contrarian who almost instinctively tries to find the least popular stance on several topics, unless he believes he can make more money praising a popular thing.
He is incredibly emotional and will judge something based on whether it pissed him off at any point. His opinions are also highly inconsistent, such as when he complained about Kingdom Hearts 3 being too easy while praising Final Fantasy 7: Remake which is mostly the same game.
And finally, he often projects his own personal priorities onto others. I don't like The Last of Us 2 but I will always make fun of him throwing a hissy fit over teenagers trying to enjoy themselves during a zombie apocalypse.
TL;DR Phil is an arrogant hermit and it's fun to mock his self-absorbed opinions on things, regardless of what your own opinion on it is

That is his taste.

I don't follow why anyone should ridicule guy for liking/disliking a game based on his experience with the title? Because I don't share same opinion about game? Who cares...

We all here agree he is making YT for money as many businesses you do things for your clients/audience. PewDiePie scripted all his videos and reactions and gained wide audience because of it. There was nothing natural in him since he monetized his videos for personal gains. This is how business work and that is why Phil play games he dislikes because in the entertainment branch he's in he go either with the flow or get forgotten because thousands of other channels competing with him for same audience.

Its like some of you are astonished by the fact that business is for money.

How familiar are you with Phil reviewing games?

He used to do the hateful truth series where he would either praise a game for the review after shitting on it for 30 hours. Or he would praise the game for his playthrough and absolutely shit on the game for clickbait.

He's a walking contradiction.

Phil's also said stuff like he's the "best overall gamer in the country" and "pick up a controller and play any game at a professional level"

He's conceded that he was talking out his ass and being a giant douche when he said those things but when you put that much stock into your skill at something don't be surprised when people point out the times he couldn't crouch jump or didn't know how to use rations.

I don't fucking care what he does for clicks. This is something called ENTERTAINMENT and you either want to focus audience by bold statements or get forgotten for being bland.

If Phil calls a game buggy and bad because he died after running off a platform, I'll make fun of him for it. Simple as
Ok, so what's your angle?
You watch his Twitch streams raising his audience counter to make fun of him? From his POV his business model is successful as long as people want to click over his thumbnail for whatever reasons.

This is just jarringly stupid.

Sure, that's all well and good, if it weren't for the fact that Phil himself has both reprimanded people for only playing games for money and outright lies about the things he has done for money, like the Spawn Seats sponsorship. When people make fun of Phil for doing something he hates for money, they're calling him out on being a lying hypocrite.
Also I have never tuned into Phil's twitch channel. Never have, never will, and I personally have spoken against people who tune into his streams, tipping him to insult him.

I don't follow why anyone should ridicule guy for liking/disliking a game based on his experience with the title? Because I don't share same opinion about game?
Because Phil is an ignoramus and formulates his opinions on media the same way many journalists do: by experiencing about fifteen percent of the reviewed media while paying a maximum of about thirty percent of their attention. I don't care if an idiot thinks a game is bad if they played all of it, or even most of it if they can at least articulate why and make a case but Phil never does that. So fuck it, I'll call him a dummy for liking or disliking whatever and I'll laugh doing it because you're bothered by it even more than he is.

I read this whole thing and immediately regretted it because God help me I can't begin to parse out what kind of point you're trying to make.
Its like some of you are astonished by the fact that business is for money.
Nigga no one needs your ten cent Theodore Seminar on capitalist economics, I get better listening to Cum Town. Phil is as much a businessman as Jonathan Yaniv is a woman or Amberlynn Reid is a diet guru.

Whats up with "highly educated" people like DSP and LTG?

Movie that holds your hand and explains everything or lack complex plot = "Awesome and entertaining movie!"
Move meant to make you think on things or dosen't explain the plot until the very end = "Horrible and boring movie, it sucked!"

Does it really hurt that much to think just a little extra?
Because fuck you I want to, I never liked Blade Runner. The whole time I was like "this seems really hard to follow if you haven't read the book. And I hate this as an adaptation of the book too." It's alright, I actually did like the sequel a lot more, because I would read Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? any day of the week over watching Blade Runner.

Okay autism over. On to the quote. I can confirm working in education that yes. Yes it is really hard to think a little extra. I've tutored, I've subbed, I've been a teacher's aid, and so much of my day is "can you just tell me the answer?" "This doesn't make sense I don't want to do it". And there are few subjects I can't explain at a high school level, but the blank stares and frustrated groans when I just rework what they are trying to do, instead of just giving it to them is damning.

Keep in mind Phil says he left hundreds of DVDs back in his CT condo, these are just the blu-rays he brought with him. It has been 6½ years since he filmed this so who knows how many more he bought, or what kind of a dent the 200 Kathy forced him to sell made in his consoomer shit-pile. This man is completely empty inside.

Phil has the Lethal Weapon collection sitting next to Schindler's List, and the Tarantino collection sitting next to the 4 Shrek movies collection. Yes, all of his opinions on movies are dogshit consoomer-tier.
I got surprised over him having the 1911: Revolution movie, which is about China's history, but then i saw who the main actor was and know right away why he had it, Jackie Chan!

But i'm not generally surprised seeing most of his movies are comedy, cartoon or action, a collection i might have wanted if i was a couple of decades younger.
