I don't know how long it's been since you left the house, but I think the idea that all of America would just "roll over" for a country across the biggest ocean in the planet is fucking hilarious. War isn't a videogame. You don't paint the world with your national colors. A war between China and America is one for global hegemony, one which they won't win. The Chinese didn't adopt the one child policy to have the most elite bloodlines. They adopted it because they were worried about their population inflating so much until they realized that, ooops, having only one child halves your young population and when the boomer generation retires, they become drains on a social system that is not nearly as advanced as other first world nations. I don't think you understand the principle of nukes since the Soviets made their own. They're a deterrent, meant to be used for blackmail. Even an ICBM can be knocked down if launched from halfway around the world. The only people that would use nukes are those that see no other recourse. I'm more worried about Taiwanese nukes than Chinese nukes. Iran is one of the two ME powerhouses, second to Turkey. I'd be more concerned with their enemy, the Saudis, getting a nuke, because on a one-on-one fight, Iran would wipe the floor with them and pretty much the rest of the ME with the exception of Turkey and Israel.

I think you take other another country's propaganda at face value. For one, the fanatical mullah control over Iran is not as tight as you might think, even less with their younger population. Khomeni got into power becuase he hijacked the revolution and after that, the war with Iraq made it so that the Iranian population cared more about the literal enemy at their border than their batshit leader. Since relative peace has returned to Iran, and the scummier actions of the government have surfaced (such as spending millions of Hezbollah instead of their own population), disatisfaction with the goverment has surged. A nuke to America would mean that they would get blown 50 times harder than Darius III at Guagamela. America would survive one or even two nukes, as much of a tragedy it would be; Iran would not survive 100. At then of the day, nuking somebody else means you get nuked harder in return.

There is the thing. Iran is in close-range to Israel and Saudi Arabia, US allies, while China and N.K. are surrounded by S.K, Japan, Taiwan, Vietnam, India, Australia, Phillipines...
