He also said that trolls might send in fake tips or charge back and then the tips total wouldn't be accurate. If the number was inflated true and honest fans might be discouraged from tipping because it would appear as if Phil was getting a lot more support than he actually was (yes this was his actual reasoning).

Which is a pretty damning admission when you think about it. Why would it matter how much money you've already gotten? Well it would matter if fans are only donating for clout/attention (Tut/OIC) or are donating because they think Phil is struggling financially.

EDIT: He is AGAIN begging based on the fact that he didn't hit the tips goal last night. He said that if he didn't hit it again tonight he would be even further behind. So $200/day in cash is now the bare minimum needed to survive. Despite the fact that he has been relieved of 6 figures in credit card debt and one mortgage AND this $100 number was a recent and completely arbitrary invention. BTW he is at $50 at the halfway mark, so why all the panic? He is genuinely expecting $150+ and at this rate he won't exceed $100.

EDIT2: He got the $100. Let's see if the begging continues to make up for last night.

Well, let's see:

- Goes to 'blow his nose' and stop the stream for about 5 minutes.
- Started looking at his StreamSomething furiously, like every 10 seconds.
- Started to get pissed. First time calling a fan idiot this stream.
- Mentioned the $300 jeans, out of fucking nowhere.
- Again, don't stop searching for tips. Impatience grows. Legs start shaking.
- Dead air intensifies.
- STOP THE GAMEPLAY ENTIRELY to beg for money. Not even searching for a game, just stops everything and told how last night was really slow and he need those tips tonight.
- After several minutes of just stalling and talking about money, suddenly, a 'MASSIVE TIP' showed up,
- Phil is not happy. It's UNVERIFIED. Called out konduit3 and almost got mad at him for the tip not being verified.
- Announces that he trust him, add the $50 and starts the poll.
- Not even a second he showed surprise. As I said, he was mad at some point. Like Phil asked him to tip verified beforehand.

Not even a single 'nugget' of shame. But it wasn't planned, guys.

As @Comma pointed out, Phil is making an average of $105 a stream. Phil expressly said before that this is more money than he actually needs, which is why hitting the tip goals enabled him to cover all the extra expenses in February. I look forward to this extra money being saved so that the tax begging can be 'nipped in the butt'. Unless all that extra money were to mysteriously disappear and Phil were to pretend that he hadn't been consistently making $100 a stream...

It's also a damning admission as to why he has a clear interest in manipulating the number to remain low as often as he can - he's flatly admitting a low tips amount is likely to bait whales into heroics.
So he can't automate it because it's important the tips goal remains accurate so that people don't assume he is doing better than he is.
But also, it doesn't matter if he doesn't update it for a while because it's not like it affects anything.

Can anyone that actually watches the streams (yuck) tell me if he has actually been more mild and controlled since the furry leaks?
I'm just tuning and he's extremely controlled and mild but he's at 108 bucks so he has his pulls for tonight secured.

See, he SHOULD do that because that might be entertaining. Watching other people open loot boxes has an audience and I genuinely think Phil should do it to make more money. Hell, you have tips goals right there: if I break 200 I buy 100 worth of pulls, if someone tips me 10, 20, 50, etc I spend this much on pulls. Free ideas on this forum, Phil my dude. Use it.

Normally I would agree with this advice but I think Phil would get massive amounts of chargebacks if he did something like this. He would end up spending like $500 on pulls only to have it taken all back after it's been spent.

I dunno about tips leaders wanting to churn out $20 bucks to have a vile name like that, but definitely for cheers they could do that. So I'm gonna go with the latter of my original post that he wants total control of what information is being presented. *What @Surly Muppet said.

Any normal person would just say they don't feel like doing it. Of course if this comes up as a topic he'll overexplain in so many words what he can say in 6 words or less.

Phil's stubbornness on this kind of shit is a big form of his fucking lunacy that he's been spiraling down lately. He always makes excuses about shit when it's obvious he's just too lazy or scummy to do (or don't do) a thing.

Phil doesn't even have to lie that hard, the cultists have already got their heads so far up his ass that there's literally nothing they can hear to convince them to pull out. Phil could start streaming one day, and confirm the WWE Champions account is his, he hates every one of his tardy fans, he's only in it for the money, and he's glad and proud to be as much of a gouty cunt as possible with vitriol for every other human being on the face of the fucking earth, including his potato bitch horse wife and dying parents. And then still accumulate $150+ from the usual whales minutes afterwards.
