I still don't understand why people wear masks outside. It makes no sense and never has.
I was going through a drive thru at lunch today, and I shit you not, from her driver's side mirror I saw the woman in the car ahead of me (who looked to be in her mid-to-late 50's) put a mask on before getting up to the menu/speaker box to order.

I just seen some faggot jogging across the street as I sit on my porch. Even though its pouring buckets out. their wearing a face muzzle.

Is he even a real doctor?

He is although he's never practiced clinically or seen a patient he's spent his entire career in public policy. Sjw faggots claim that Rand Paul who actually is a practicing surgeon with an up to date medical license isn't a real doctor so by that standard Fauci sure as shit isn't one.

This is a commonly repeated misconception and it's not true.

There is BIG money to be made in drug discovery, and a working cure for even 1/2 the known human cancers would be the holy grail of drug discovery, and whichever scientist managed to get their name as first author on the efficacy paper would probably go down in history alongside Alexander Fleming and Walter Reed (*or some gender-fluid POC who worked as a lab tech would*).

Furthermore, the amount of money thrown at cancer research itself is proof that this is not the case.
My undergrad advisor straight up told our lab that no matter what our hypothetical future research was about, that if we could find even the most tenuous second-hand link to cancer research, then we were golden.
You know, you're making the case here that the money is in the eternal search and not a cure.

The latest bullshit from the county I live in. Wife getting her first vaccination tomorrow. As for me...answer is still no fucking way, Ike! But in news that made me smile, the latest relaxing of house arrest means I can once again use two carts when I go to the commissary. Commissary manager told me he needed the sales.

Observe...things just keep getting better since 20 January, at least that's what "they" tell us. Very obvious to me why. Fuck "them", ALL of "them".

BREAKING NEWS FROM THE CARMEL PINE CONE

March 23, 2021, 3:30 p.m.

DESPITE INCREASE IN CASES, STATE LOWERS COUNTY'S TIER SCORE TO 3.8

• Two more weeks below 4.0 and Monterey County will move to Orange Tier

While new cases of coronavirus in Monterey County increased 13 percent from 147 last week to 166 for the week ending today, the California Department of Public Health this morning lowered the county's tier case rate from 4.7 to 3.8.

The score puts the county within reach of the Orange Tier under the state's economic shutdown rules. A score of 4.0 or lower three weeks in a row is needed to move to a new tier, which means Monterey County could officially achieve Orange Tier status as early as April 7, county health officer Dr. Ed. Moreno told the board of supervisors this afternoon.(Moreno and the 'board of supervisors' are utterly useless cocksuckers. - JS)

This week's score of 3.8 is once again Monterey County's lowest since the tiered system for regulating the state's economy was introduced by the governor in August. (Fuck Newsom. Recall his worthless ass. - JS) The highest case rate assigned to Monterey County was 84.3 on January 2.

Here's an updated chart showing the county's recent progress through the tiers.

While today's lower score runs counter to the rising number of new infections reported by the Monterey County health department, it apparently reflects the state's optimism that high vaccination rates will keep the virus at bay, regardless of the increased transmission that would otherwise occur as the economy reopens.(More like Newsom realizing he is toast when the recall election happens. - JS)

Once again this week Monterey County residents received more than 25,000 doses of the various coronavirus vaccines, the CDPH said, bringing the total of doses administered to county residents to 138,769. In California, the number of doses administered is up to 15 million, while in the United States, 128 million shots have been given, according to the CDC.(Still no shot for me. No trust in government/law enforcement/judiciary any more. - JS)

For the latest data on coronavirus infections in various parts of Monterey County, please see our charts and tables below. And to check your eligibility to be vaccinated, please click here.(Blow me. - JS)

They keep flip-flopping about it. One moment it's a panacea, the next it's essentially useless. Neither position makes sense.

The argument is whether the vaccines create a sterilising immune response, and, to be honest, I think the panic is overblown in any direction. The vaccines aren't likely to be all that dangerous (though I say that as someone who is going to wait as long as possible before having to get one, because you never really know) and they aren't likely to cause any of the virulent disaster scenarios people have been throwing around, given that our own, native immune response to coronaviruses (and rhinoviruses) isn't truly sterilising either and that hasn't resulted in corpses lining the streets every time the common cold sweeps through.

What needs to happen is for the panicking morons to shut up and maybe die so everyone else can get back to normal. Alas...
Pretty much this.

I'm not getting the vaccine because I've already had COVID, so there is absolutely zero incentive for me to risk even a tiny chance of future damage from a prototype methodology, but I don't think its some death stab likely to kill me.
You know, you're making the case here that the money is in the eternal search and not a cure.
Yeah that's a fair point...
I guess what I'm saying is whoever does come up with a working cure for *any number* of cancers is going to hit the fucking lottery though.

I'm a New Zealander, and I want to know what this past year has been like for people in other parts of the world.

Are any of you living in parts of the world where you don't have to care about this anymore? Are there any parts of the USA that didn't fall for this whole lockdown scam?

My 83 year old grandma got her 2nd Moderna shot last week. Zero side effects. She didn't even have injection site pain for either shot. This is a woman who didn't lose her hair and was still up and cooking and taking care of the family while going through chemo for lymphoma about 15 years ago, so maybe she's just superwoman.
Maybe I spoke too soon? My grandmother had a stroke today, less than three weeks after her second shot. Strokes run in her immediate family so I'm not about to get too tinfoily, and now I'm less worried about her having a stroke than getting the WuFlu while she's in the hospital, although maybe they've learned a fucking thing or two after a year about how respiratory diseases spread.

Sorry for the slightly OT blog post, but it is fucking weird to me that she has a stroke not long after getting the Moderna vax.

Well cancer isn't a virus (or bacteria, or archea, or fungi, or parasite, or biotic toxin...); so what would the vaccine be?
A vaccine against your own body?

Cancer is quite a complicated beast because its rather a "vague" term. There are THOUSANDS of cancer types out there, some so minor that you can have "cancer" but it be far from ever becoming live threatening to others that as terminal as they can be. Your body is a beautiful machine but it can just destroy itself just because as beautifully.

Creating an universal cure of it is borderline impossible because it would have to cover all these types I have covered when each cancer requires a different type of treatement depedent on where its from (medula, blood, kidney, brain, etc).

It's also the end goal of Big Pharma. Wouldn't it be incredible if you needed to replenish the nanomachines in your body every so often so had to take them in pill form or some shit? And wouldn't it be awesome if you had to supply them with additional "nutrients", also in some proprietary pill form? And wouldn't it be the coolest if the nanomachines were controlled by a chip in the brain that transmitted data to your doctor and your insurance company (or the government if it's government if it's government healthcare)? Damn right it would, Big Pharma would rule the world since they control life and death! Don't take the nanomachine pill? Well you die of some awful infection because your natural immune system is totally shit without them. They will literally put a tax on living, with the most severe consequences if you refuse to pay it.

The scariest part is that theoretically, if almost all of us took the "vaccine" (gene therapy) we might do something similar with COVID-1984. Dangerous strains would not be selected out so it would get more and more lethal until we had a 20-30% death rate killer disease which you would have to take a yearly vaccine for. It's a tax on life far worse than any tax the government has imposed and with far worse consequences for not paying. That's what gets me most worried about the vaccine, especially if the vaccines have negative side effects to a decent number of people (like your autoimmune diseases and shit).

Controlling a drug everyone needs to live is the holy grail of Pharma. They would be set up as rulers of the world no different than the ancient kings who controlled the water supply and thus irrigation and drinking water back 4,000 years ago.

*sigh* I miss the "horrifying" icon.

Seriously, Null, stop being a fag and just give it back to us.

Movie theather over here went out of business despite being open for months and had huge glaring signs signalling that its open. The next movie theater is like a hour out of town. Then a huge portion of a mall followed after.
I don't like this at all, this is going to be very likely a ruined town if/when this ends.

"WE NEED MORE LOCKDOWNS!!"
"Why is everything just so expensive nowdays?!"

You either have your lockdown or an economy. Pick one

You cant have your cake and eat it.
I have a solution for all this, but it would involve fed-posting about politicians being hung on lampposts using the intestines of journalists, so I'm not gonna spell it out.

Just say that its "in minecraft" and the feds will leave you alone.

Im just saying, salvation rarely is achieved without evil blood being spilled...thats a reality I think people have become blessfully unaware of.

My medical history is none of your business, donut vender. Not even showing it if you promise to give me a free custard donut. Get this lame glaze shit outta my face.

You know, if this god forsaken vaccine is so important and they REALLY want to reward us.

Hey, pricks, I want a fucking gaming PC updated to the latest specs as a reward for getting the jab. Im not a fucking pet you throw treats as a reward, you either give me some powerful rig or Im not doing it.

Went back to the gym today after I forget how many months. It was great to be back. Working out in a mask sucked though, and some of the full body exercises made me dizzy.

A friend got the vaccine. She's immune-compromised, and has had vaccine reactions before and needed EpiPens, and when she told the vaccine administrators that, they got all worried and had a private nurse sit with her, next to the on-site ambulance, for half an hour post-vaccine. She made it home, felt really sick for two days, and has been taking more naps than usual, but I think he's gonna be fine. She's not enthusiastic about getting a second shot.

Yeah my state the Wuflu bullshit lasted a couple of months before it was almost back to normal. Now mask mandates are dropped and nothing is Lock down. Last summer during the height of the pandemic I went to the local amusement /water park. Been going to movies and having dinners at sit down restaurants.
