Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

Those are more the exceptions, and Nixon is debatable. Eisenhower stated in an interview Nixon did basically nothing but overseas tours in his name. Kamala is the heir because (from what I suspect) she is seen as the perfect symbol of modernity. Biracial, female, no kids of her own, a career woman. What better symbol for a utopia?

Like JohnDoe said, it didn't do shit. To begin with multiple homicides aren't common, and only a small percentage of homicides in the US are ever done with any sort of rifle (let alone a rifle specifically like an AR-15.) See the FBI UCR for actual data:


Multiple homicides account for less than 7% of total homicides, and random mass shootings make up an even smaller amount of that figure. High victim counts per crime scene are uncommon.


Rifles of any type were used in 2.61% of homicides in the latest reporting year, and even less in many preceding years. The 1994-2004 AWB also didn't actually ban the possession or purchase of any firearm or magazine, but rather simply banned the manufacture of new hi-caps and so-called assault weapons. There were millions upon millions of legal grandfathered hi-caps available on the market at slightly elevated prices, and you could still buy a brand new AR or AK in slightly neutered form. Removing the bayonet lug and having either an unthreaded barrel, or permanently-attached compensator in place of a 2spooky flash suppressor, was enough to make newly-manufactured guns perfectly legal.

It was useless horseshit made by boomers who barely knew what end of the gun the bullets came out of, although the new ones being proposed by this rickety old scrotum are a lot more draconian and have no sunset date like the old one
