I recall hearing 20 years ago that any big name in tech, CEO or developer was banned from being alone with a woman at conferences. In Atheism(+) Rebecca Waton attended one of their conferences as some shitty youtuber social justice type. She met an actual intellectual atheist on the elevator after hanging out at the bar and was asked if she'd like to come to his room for a coffee after they got off on the same floor. The next day she made a video declaring him Mr bad man and a rapist which ends how you already suspect it does. If you're in nerd circles this type of behaviour is far from new. It's only new if you're paying attention to the corporate brand of socjus which is mostly down stream from Twitter, the original journo hive. Roleplayers have a very weird interaction with the main stream of tabletop games (TCGs and miniature gaming like Warhammer). They always sit in their own bubble away from all the bullshit others have to deal with. Playing Warhammer for most people is clubs or shops where any one can walk in the door and ask if you fancy a game. It's not until they turn around and you see the shit stain on their jeans you know you're doomed. Role players normally have more of a vetting process.
Even if you pick your players well you can't be sureone won't troon out and straight up lie about you when you refuse to call a man in a dress a woman. Seen that happen in communities too. Good bye play group! Despite nerds best attempt to be inclusive (being a bunch of freaks outcast by everyone else) play groups have always been under Darwinian selection. That guy stories come from group destroyers and there has always been a soft ban on women at the table through self destruction of almost every group that tried it. The girlfriend is the ultimate That guy and the single woman no matter how ugly is going to cause the same problems and infighting.
Finding games is hard these days for everyone without a standing group or a university/college they're attending. These people and the youtube generation has poisoned the well so bad no one trusts any one else to play games any more. How many hardcore fans who just want to grill have been turned off by all the social justice pandering from GW and others? My 40k army hasn't been on the table in years, I was going to return to 40k after missing several editions because 8th ed looked neat despite it's obvious brokenness and pay to win elements. After GW started virtue signalling and releasing children's books I decided I would pick up another game and not play at all if I couldn't find one. The hobby has always had a 10 year gap between 25-40. Burn out and life becoming more complicated leaves less room for toy soldiers. Once your shit is back together you want to find a hobby and remember the model kits you built of old. Now you have the income and enough time to build a bit so it gets picked back up. How many of those old guard did the same as me and decided to stay out of it?Amazingly enough, the one common complaint I hear from soc-jus types is just how hard is it to find groups to play tabletop games.

They wouldn't have even paid attention back then. They were too busy crying how good it feels to get dicked and calling it rape afterwards. Women in tabletop were as rare as trannies are in the wild today. What changed was board gaming got big off of kickstarters where there was insane amounts of money thrown around. Troons pretending to be woman propped up the numbers and then suddenly monopoly was in the same wheelhouse as DnD and Warhammer. More games added cheap Chinese crap to the boxes and more women moved in seeing a massive amount of money for almost no effort. If you want to see what a woman in tabletop looks like go look up cosplay whores. None of them are here for the games and it's why games are constantly watered down for them. If you dare say this in public you will be blacklisted from everything because socjus types and simps all want that 3/10 land whale girlfriend who likes all the things they like (she doesn't) and will dress up as Fox McCloud in bed with them (they won't).
