Pokémon (Not-So) Griefing Thread - Scarlet and Violet Released with 10 Million Copies in First 3 Days in Buggy States

South American jungle theme when? I wanna explore ancient ruins and lush, dense jungles. Such a biologically diverse setting should lend itself well to the creation of new, unique designs. Personally I'd like to see a river dolphin, peacock, and more carnivorous plants. You could throw in some mew lore for the gen-1 fans too.

Runner-up choices would be Aus and Africa.
The Jungle theme would be cool too because of all the stuff about Mew being found in the jungle in the Pokemon Mansion. Gen 1 baiting about my favorite Pokemon? Yes please.

Holy fucking based. Chuggaconroy? More like chuggachadroy.

The man is certainly right about this. Gen V was very well done, and that's not just Stockholm Syndrome from saving me from D/P and revitalized my interest in the franchise. The only real complaints I have about it is the Gym Leaders and Elite Four weren't that memorable and the map was boring. Also, people were fine with Grimer and Magnemite but lost their shit over ice cream and trash. Never mind ice cream was a huge cultural thing in the US since it came over. Plus the cone itself was likely created in New York, which Unova was based on.

despite my disagreements with on certain things, I will say Emile is one of the the few Ecelebs whose opinions I will treat with respect just for the amount of effort he puts into his shit mother fucker makes his lets plays not just enjoyable but informative

Don't forget its literally based on a New york icon

Chuggaconroy is what let's plays are supposed to be.

The real problem Unova has is how linear the map is, but even then, the routes offer wide exploration for you to come back later to, like the optional sea route off of the first route
I also like how there is a designed 'well trod' route through the world that you can stick to for the quickest and safest way through, helps make it feel more alive

Yeah I agree, I'm amazed that after all these years he still has that passion for his work. It definitely helps too that he doesn't do any of that whiny political sperging that has caused a bunch of SA let's players to become insufferable. Hell, as far as I can tell the whole Runaway guys friend group is pretty chill, which I appreciate in times such as these.

I think Chugga is like the only guy who's done vanilla playthroughs of Pokemon games that aren't painful to listen to or watch since he streamlines it. He puts a surprising amount of effort into those vids.
His voice can be grating at times, especially when he shouts, and he tends to get distracted over the littlest things while explaining something important, but I can't really hate Chugga and his LPs when he has so much passion and enthusiasm for them.

Have to disagree on the gym leaders and to a lesser extent the E4. Gen V was the first time gym leaders actual got shit done and felt relevant to the plot, especially at the end. Marlon is the only one that is forgettable and even then his reaction to Team Plasma was amusing. The E4 in general are pretty forgettable regardless of generation.

Well, they showed up at one point to help at the castle and a couple had a few extra lines and did stuff. B/W 2 did it better and cleared up what few issues I had for the most part.

Also Alder was a better Champion than Iris.

Gen 5 is a great gen, loved the Fakemon designs and season system and most of the Gym Leaders. I actually do like the trash and the ice cream, but Braviary and Excadrill are personal favorite designs among all Pokemon. Not to mentions Hidden Abilities, which while kind of annoying to get gave a ton of Pokemon good new options, and Eviolite which is such a great item. As great of a Champion as Alder is, he's also the only one I've never fought because I never did the rematch in Black. One of these days I will actually get around to finishing Black and Black 2 or Blaze Black 1+2 at least.

He’s the anti-DSP.

>Puts effort into projects
>Would give his viewers gifts in giveaways
>Friends love home and have nothing but good things to say
>Is dating (?) An actually asian girl.
>Doesn't have a subforum on the farms despite being a lil autistic.
>Does videos about his 13 year legacy but doesn't brag about it everyday

Damn you might be right.

I don't know if I've mentioned this before, but these hacks are the shit. If you've ever wanted difficulty in Pokemon along the tons of content offered in Gen 5 and more, try Blaze/Volt. 2 is weaker than 1 in my opinion because of the former having less focus on non-singles but they're still a great time and highly replayable because of the full national dex gimmick. Huge recommend.
