I think that the outcomes will lead to a riot regardless of how it ends up and that they are trying to get the trial finished as close to the actual anniversary of the death of Floyd which is in about 60 days. The flow chart is as follows:

Guilty Verdict - BLM has won, cops are bad, Happy riots and looting.
Not Guilty Verdict - Black lives are once again devalued faster than the US Dollar and they need to get their stimulus out of the local economy ASAP.
Guilty Verdict to placate BLM and then an appeal overturns it down the line - Extra riot just for fun, can happen whenever.

I think that if the verdict is overturned they will keep up the George Floyd is a saint routine until the end of time, since it has proved popular so far and that there will never be an end to his family popping up now and then the same way Trayvon's family is used as a figure head for BLM riots in their locale. Maybe the next time they won't choose to martyrize what is literally one of the worst possible candidates, but I am not going to hold my breath on that. If you ever see any of those "Say their name" BLM walls for Black and Trans Black victims they're usually all chimp outs with cops and Trannegros getting killed by other black people, feel free to google to confirm.

Also, there's the part where George Floyd may be what you call a "career criminal" or at the very least he's known to swallow his drug stash to get out of a possession charge. Probably add that to the defense's case as well, along with anything else that could be argued as "Derek Chauvin kneeing George Floyd did not directly kill him, or even contributed to it".

(copy and pasted from the riot thread)
The defense attorney revealing some illuminating details in his opening statement. Floyd was confronted twice by the shop clerk outside and refused to pay for the cigarettes or return them. Then he was falling asleep to the point his passenger was calling someone else for a ride. And then there's all the evidence of the drugs he consumed and the drugs found in Floyd's vehicle.

This first witness doesn't really help prosecution at all. They made it seem like she was horrified by what she saw in in the news coverage before she got on stand but from her testimony she was just giving the police Sergeant a heads up that something was going down.

Yes, if you've seen the footage of his arrest and the coroners report it's very clear he didn't die from suffocation. He died because he was loaded with drugs and put himself in a situation where he was non compliant and got treated as such. Typical nigs finna nog. Dude brought it on himself.
At this point, to me at least, it doesn't matter anymore. An investigation, traffic stop, responding call, whatever you want to call it, went haywire from media manipulation, hysteria, conspiracy, grifting and opportunists.

The best thing to do was wait until all the evidence came into play before jumping straight to conclusions. No, the response was sensationalism, race baiting and downright destruction for the past few months. At the end of the day, the people who aren't receiving justice are business owners and your average citizens. Millions of dollars property damage and countless weeks of harassment and dehumanization all swept under the rug for "social justice."

The damage is already done from defunding several police departments and it will take months, if ever for this whole storm and aftermath to dissipate. I don't care what happens to Chauvin, I don't care about George Floyd, I just want justice to return to American society without the political bullshit.

This bitch is an awful witness. Adds nothing of value to the prosecution. Sounds like she needs a nap as well.
From the instant she took the stand I knew she was going to be trouble.

>Please raise your right hand
<Raises left hand, wouldn't put her fucking big-ass bag down she was carrying
>Sit's down to get questioned
<Elbows with her head on her hand, within a few seconds says she doesn't like this
It's like these fuckers never heard of proper court etiquette

Ladies and gentlemen, our American society.

Regardless of whether, or not Floyd was a bad person, and he most certainly was, the fact remains that even if Chauvin didn't kill him, he and the rest of the cops still majorly fucked up procedurally, and that's something that really should be addressed.
Pull up the Minneapolis Police Operations Manual and Policy documents, along with the training, and show us where they violated procedure.

Cops should kill degenerate habitual violent druggies more and bother regular people less. That is the only change necessary

He's going to be guilty of something, guarantee it.

Its less an issue of "guilty, less riots, not guilty, more riots" but more "What will he be found guilty on?

Prosecution adding back the extra charge of third degree murder, which will never stick, is giving antifa an excuse to riot. I believe he will be found guilty on the manslaughter charge (10 years max, sans the year hes already been in captivity).

Second degree unintentional murder is 40 years, I don't think that one will stick, but it may. Would he get the full 40 years if it did stick though? Looking at the judges past and how even tempered he seems, probably not.

Third degree murder I'm not even going to get into, but how I can see this going is "He got manslaughter and 10 years, this is because hes white, the system is broken and racist, bla bla bla. He totally intended to kill Floyd, he had it out to get him, this is an evil man, how is he walking".

Thats when there will be riots. Adding in Third degree murder is just going to add another unnecessary charge and the possibility that even if he is found guilty on 2 of the 3 current charges, the fact that he may get off on the max charge will have people on the left using that for copium to fuel their racist worldview for years. These people wanted death for him or life in prison, and anything less and they will riot.

>wait until summer for the verdict
>perfect LOOT weather
>people locked up in the projects and just waiting to do something

Dammit. I'll be surprised if we don't get a round 2.
They REALLY need to enact martial law and the Insurrection Act. If last year proved anything, do whatever you have to to maintain peace and justice.

Here's to LA, hope everyone is living near some rooftop Koreans.

My prediction is Chauvin will walk and some nigga will shoot him outside the courthouse

That or that same nigga will rush in to the trial and kamikaze his black ass in the name of the kangz
Again, last year proved that "peaceful protestors" can get away with damn near anything "for the cause." I'm sure if Minneapolis didn't barricade the courthouse, SOMEBODY would walk in CNN style and just enact some street justice.

OH NO SHE'S A FUCKING WIGGER

Of course.

Out of morbid curiosity I've been reading some takes from smaller newspapers that appear to be more neutral and don't say head-spinning things like "city wide destruction from the mostly peaceful protests".

Minneapolis businesses rush to install security shutters following rule change
City leaders urge business owners in Minneapolis to prepare ahead of upcoming trial
Minneapolis increases security ahead of the Derek Chauvin trial
In Minneapolis, an immigrant street struggles to recover

I don't understand why any business would choose to remain in Minneapolis at this point. They sound genuinely scared.
