I've been thinking about this for a while and the tip animations sort of make this on topic: why does anyone tip this guy?
I don't mean it in our usual sarcastic "why would you give money to this asshole?" way, I mean it genuinely. Tipping and cheering are the worst thing you can do if you enjoy his content at all because of his whole leaderboard system. Even before the tip audit, it was bad. You tip 20 bucks, or cheer 2000 bits, and become the new leader on the board. He now has to stop what he's doing, type out your name, type out the amount you gave, adjust the total amount received, and more than likely readjust the size of his leaderboard text. All in all, it's a huge interruption to the stream every time it happens and again, this is before the tip audit was a thing, with it it's now an even bigger interruption.
If you're looking to reward your genuine fans for tipping/cheering doing it in such a way that it rapes the flow of the stream and stops everything for minutes at a time it's actively training people to not tip/cheer if what they want is to see your content.
