I get the message of what the group was trying to do by giving video game characters more realistic proportions, but in the end it misses the point. Most of them are fighters and adventurers so it would be natural for the calories to be burnt and them to be thinner. (I know there are different kinds of athletic figures like Awesome Kong.)

These are all less realistic than the originals, because if you looked like that and tried to do the jobs these women do, you wouldn't last long.

Oh yeah, I read about it in my local newspaper yesterday and took a look at it while perusing through a comic shop not far from where I live. And after taking the brief look I did earlier today, the comic doesn't really appeal to me. Like at all. The art feels lazy and the plot just doesn't do anything for me.

Funny thing, Leth used to work at a Halifax comic shop.

Meiko looks like a bar hostess and the lack of skin color is pretty off-putting (Backgrounds, colors, what are they?), but I think this isn't so bad actually, why do they all look so dumpy? Pop stars are usually supposed to be conventionally attractive, aren't they?

Perhaps by trying to be unique and claiming to put in some sort of diversity even though the art itself looks bad.

@fishercat said they were drug addicts. That might just be describing them mercifully because they look more like someone trying to make characters through some deranged art-style. Miku looks the least deranged if simply because her body looks more or less like a stick figure.

This artist is not actually bad, they really have a lot of potential.

I'll admit that I like the way they shaded this picture, but why doesn't Hiccup have any eyes! And why did he not shade the background.

I was going to call this good but then I saw the ears. And now that I'm really looking at this picture everything is asymmetrical, also he doesn't have shoulders.

The more you look at the last picture the worse it gets.

That's Hiccup??? I thought it was a cartoon version of a knight from Dark Souls. Jesus Christ I didn't realize it was him till you pointed it out and I noticed his missing leg.

I found out there's another body redesign from the same people who did the video game girls. Some of them are decent while others are pretty bad like the guys. (Of course, Power Girl has smaller breasts.) Their version of Iron Man would laughed by any group of supervillains.
