Anything else they see from Megaten, they can no doubt say is problematic and bad. They could complain about the appearance of Lilith being entirely naked with a snake around her (which can no doubt be a part of her) or how Scathach looks because her clothing wouldn't look appropriate and protective in fighting demons if simply because they think a demon should wear something more protective despite the fact that armor for demons are moot (those that played Strange Journey knows the plate of an arch-angel wouldn't protect said angel against an attack a higher level demon such as Moh Shuvuu, a demon that is basically a floating little girl with a bird shaped hood) since they are all stronger than a human and can cast spells that will make your day. Seriously, if anything Atlus did awesomely about whole Megaten and Demons design is that they fucking followed mythology lores and many of demons design actually make sense in context. Also like you mentioned our beloved Mara which is basically a penis on a chariot.

Not only that, they would make a complaint on design like one demon looking like it might of been white washed or something. They did complain of Mara being a dick despite the fact that the appearance of Mara could symbolize humanity in a way (our dark desires such as lust, greed, and violence). They could complain of Hathor not being dark skinned like Egyptians, never mind the fact that some dieties a white supremacist might worship such as Odin being purple. And with Jeanne D'Arc, they will complain about the boob plate nevermind the fact that she is a demon now. A shotgun or warhammer from a human would do as much damage on Jeanne as say a ratata using tackle on a mewtwo, it wouldn't do much damage other than just 1 point.
Pretty much this. It's one thing to say you dislike a design but what about pulling up something you like and say "more of this please" instead of being salty all the time. In fact, I don't think they bothered to look more. I mentioned it earlier, but apparently Izanami is kosher.
For stuff they like it has to replace the "evil/problematic" stuff because fuck comprise and different artistic expression.
In regards to Croft, her body would be like that when considering all the running and athletic things she does in her adventures. Also, Sonya Blade would pretty much beat the crap out of people in a fight so she would be more muscular rather than fat. As for Rikku, I can't say much other than running around with a party and fighting stuff. Honestly, some of the images are just altering people that would be doing athletic things that would remove some fat and possibly add muscle. I know one would ask for more realistic proportions but as you said, these people go on adventures, some of which would also have them end up beating the crap out of their enemies. Cortana could get a pass but in the end, she's just an AI given a sort of visualized appearance. Also, note that these were altered into average American woman measurements. I question some of the choices here. Especially Rikku who would not look out of place in a female Olympic swim team. She is a scuba diver (Al Bhed swim underwater to excavate ruins after all) so I don't see the point in making her fat.
