The Abortion Debate Containment Thread - Put abortion sperging here.

”The infant would be delivered, the infant would be kept comfortable, the infant would be resuscitated if that's what the mother and the family desired. And then a discussion would ensue between the physicians and the mother.” - Ralph Northam.
Lmao that's literally early induction for fatal fetal abnormalities. I know for a fact early induction has been discussed in Tard Baby since I posted some pics of a FUBAR fetus that was induced early. Most people aren't gonna force doctors to resuscitate something that isn't compatible with life but you never know with crazy fundies.

Iirc the proposed law the interview that quote was taken massively out of context from was one that would allow a woman to get a late-term abortion after getting a fatal diagnosis from just one doctor instead of like 3 or whatever it was previously required. Not legalizing infanticide or even abortion of healthy fetuses. Like most prolife propaganda it's something that was taken completely out of the original context and prolifers then made some shit completely up. Like when they take pics of stillborns from a developing country and claim they're aborted fetuses at Planned Parenthood in America.

Refusing to provide obligatory care to a newborn baby is evil.
Nah, I'd actually argue that wasting valuable medical resources on something that doesnt even have a brain or is equally incompatible with life is evil. Or unnecessarily prolonging the suffering of a doomed baby i.e. Tinslee.

Palliative care only should be the standard procedure for doomed potato babies, induced early and not. If anything is cruel, it's forcefully resuscitating a hopeless case.

Try telling them that.
Not all of us are incels, Nom.

Report: Supreme Court Will Consider Kentucky Abortion Case

Source is Breitbart

But actual court documents here:

The U.S. Supreme Court will hear its first abortion case since the balance shifted to a 6-3 court.

The High Court agreed to intervene in a lawsuit over a state abortion ban after Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron asked the Court to do so. “This case began as a challenge to a Kentucky statute regulating abortion, but it is now a dispute about a State’s authority to ensure that its laws are fully defended through this Court,” accordingto the case.

With the original abortion case blocked by the Sixth Circuit, Cameron is challenging the federal courts’ ability to override state law, which the Court has agreed to do based on the “dual-sovereign system of government.”

The High Court only agreed to hear the case on the latter procedural question, avoiding the basis of the original case, which weighed Kentucky’s 2018 prohibition of a “law prohibiting abortions in which an unborn child is dismembered while still alive.”

The original case was previously approved by former Governor Matt Bevin to be challenged but was obstructed by lower courts that refused to allow a petition even to be filed. The case was then appealed by conservative Cameron to the Supreme Court on the basis that “States have a substantial interest in enforcing their laws. In recognition of this fact, the States get to decide for themselves who defends their laws in court.”

In support of the case, Susan B. Anthony’s List President Marjorie Dannenfelser released the following statement:

It is encouraging news that the Supreme Court will hear this case. We commend Attorney General Daniel Cameron for doing everything in his power to defend Kentucky’s pro-life laws, including its ban on barbaric live-dismemberment abortions, which was enacted with overwhelming bipartisan support. State legislators acting on the will of the people have both the duty and the right to protect their most vulnerable citizens – born and unborn. We look forward to seeing this right upheld.
Cameron initially asked the justices to reconsider the legality of the Kentucky law in view of a previous Supreme Court ruling on a Louisiana law, which Republicans believe may lead the way for pro-life policies.

Through a swing vote by Chief Justice John Roberts on the case, the Court struck down the Louisiana law that pro-abortion opponents said, “could have forced all but one of the state’s abortion providers to close.”

The case is Cameron v. EMW Women’s Surgical Center, No. 19-5516 in the Supreme Court of the United States.

Do NOT expect them to rule abortion as murder. Abortion isn’t mentioned anywhere in the Constitution for or against, and Roe v Wade was based on spurious “search and seizure”, “right to privacy” nonsense that wouldn’t ever be applied to - say - the government’s ability to ban alternative medicine treatments.

However, precedent is a bitch and I am skeptical this will go Pro-Life’s way. Still, this could be red meat to satisfy the GOP, who are increasingly hostile towards the Roberts court, and we may end up with a “muh states rights” decision where abortion is legal up until states ban/regulate it. Otherwise this will have been a huge waste of time, which I guess is the norm these days.

Having to pay for an abortion is a consequence.

Lol tradcels are even shitting up the Lindsey Ellis thread crying about a fetus she aborted over 10 years ago. Lindsey Ellis is a prime example of someone who isn't fit to care for a kid. Just because she's a mediocre looking nerd girl and you fantasize about magically turning her into a tradwife doesn't mean her having an abortion isn't one of the few good decisions she's made in her life.

Wonder if they're gonna shit up the Abby Brown thread next and whine about how horrible it is that a severely mentally ill woman on the mental level of a 13 year old from 2008 got an abortion.

There are cows that have had kids and I highly recommend reading their threads if you think it's so horrible cows like Ellis had abortions. Foreverkailyn, Kelly Lanza, Sammie Bushart, the Schofields, empathicnutritionist, desmondisamazing, and Krissy Klein are some good ones to start with. Spoilers, most are full blown horrorcows because of how they treat their kids.

Imagine being so triggered by people discussing the past of a lolcow that you come to A+N and bitch about it.
Nah, I came to this thread because I don't want to shit up the Ellis thread even more than it's already been shat up. Plus abortion sperging is supposed to go ITT anyway.

Though I guess I am a bit triggered by the thought that there are people that think kids should be born to people who will just neglect and abuse them just because they don't like abortion.

Hearing you talk about shitting up threads is one of the most ironic things I've seen on this forum.
