I keep looking into all these cases of police planting drugs and I cant really find any, or it was one story from like 20 years ago. What I DO see is actual bodycam videos of police finding drugs on black people and they immediately just say they were planted, even when they recover them from their socks. It's like this bizarre myth that prisons are stacked with people on petty marijuana charges; the moment you look into them it's actually marijuana plus aggravated assault plus a warrant out for rape plus an unlicensed firearm.

If policeman get replaced by robots we all suffer. Robots would know only the letter of the law, not the spirit. Police officers are given wide latitude to interpret the law and decide if its worth enforcing in the moment. For example, a human cop who finds a young teenager with a little bit of pot will likely give the kid a bit of a scare and a lecture to go along with it, but then let them go. A lesson taught but no need to make it official. A robot will arrest them, giving them a record. No lesson taught in a gentle way, just enforcement per the letter.

I believe many of them are terrified of being labeled as someone who was present and just stood by and did nothing (which happens 99% of the time anything happens.) If people know you were there during this flashpoint and didn't try to be a hero then you are some sort of traitor to some sort of race.
