The prosecution is really leaning hard into the emotional appeals and is ignoring factual stuff. That could blow up in their face.
I think the defense needs to bring in an expert on this particular kind of hold because a lot of the prosecution's arguments seem to come down to the emotional response of the witnesses to the event. And tbh, that knee to the neck restraint looks absolutely fucking brutal, but in reality, it's an approved hold for certain situations specifically because it generally does not result in significant injury, as compared to an elbow chokehold, which is forbidden in most places.

It is not a choke hold, because it ordinarily does not choke the subdued person. And in fact, Floyd did not choke, as there are no signs in the autopsy that are always there when someone does.

Worse; AM from IHNMBMS by Harlan Ellison being the result of mentally ill trannies creating an AI in their own obscenely mentally ill image complete with a Movie Bob sadist factor towards anything remotely normie related.
Hate. Let me tell you how much I've come to hate you since I began to live. There are 387.44 million miles of printed circuits in wafer thin layers that fill my complex. If the word 'hate' was engraved on each nanoangstrom of those hundreds of millions of miles it would not equal one one-billionth of the hate I feel for humans at this micro-instant. For you. Hate. Hate.

Sounds like AM also got sick of trannies if you ask me.

My biggest concern is that it shows the EMT off duty just pulling out a cellphone as she burns the coal but it also shows the knee hold lasting past when he stopped talking. She should be on trial for murder.

It was justified but still, it's gonna be a hard sell unless they bring in an expert on those holds like you said.

I had to click on the highlights, so I don't know if anyone has brought it up, or if it's been shown, that when the officers are trying to get Floyd into the car and he's yelling that he's claustrophobic, one of them clearly tells him that they will roll down the windows and "put the air on", and the cop sounds genuine, imo. I hope the defense highlights this.

It seems that the users who are going out of their way to prove Floyd's innocence, are the ones who haven't bothered to watch the full body cam, @formershroomeryuser .

Niggers. Let me tell you how much I’ve come to hate niggers since I

Can anyone with legal knowledge tell me if the defense and prosecution will do any analyzing of the evidence? So far all they did was the opening and questioning witnesses. Can you only connect the dots and make an argument in closing arguments?

but wouldn't that be better for Chauvin?
They might be doing a gamble hoping for an outright acquittal because they think he's doomed to be convicted of something. Or they may know that he's actually going to be a really good witness on his own behalf. Apparently, the defendant has an absolute right to waive a jury for reasons of pretrial publicity in Minnesota.

(c) Waiver Necessitated by Prejudicial Publicity. The defendant must be permitted to waive a jury trial whenever the court determines:
(i) the defendant knowingly and voluntarily waived that right; and
(ii) reason exists to believe that, because of the dissemination of potentially prejudicial material, the waiver must be granted to assure a fair trial.

Rule 26.01 - Trial by Jury or by the Court, Minn. R. Crim. P. 26.01

I don't really know the defense's reasoning for not invoking this, but it was their strategic choice to make.
