Guys it’s not that deep. If you’ve ever done shit for fun then started getting paid to do that shit, it can stop being fun real fucking quick. Jim isn’t a fan of people who act like he owes them something or expect him to cover certain topics (he’s stated this outright on many occasions). He’s just not feeling like it.

And the cancer doesn’t help. Chemo wipes out your strength and it can be incredibly difficult to focus on anything for longer than a few minutes at a time. Nobody in the throes of cancer treatment is WFH like it’s NBD and Jim doesn’t want to either. Makes sense to me.

Part of the issue is that you can't really stream on most non-YT sites tube sites and the few that you could had banned Jim or fucked with his streams to the point that he refused to come back to them.

His routine sucked, too. His streams were always just him smoker-cackling over whatever nonsense he was watching. It was all a massive step down from his usual material and I can't understand how anyone paid in any "superberries" for it.

There's some worthwhile stuff there. The majority of it was not. Photon was his #1 series during that by far and his Coronavirus shit at a time when nobody even realized there was anything going on, much less the extent of it, is top notch. But the gap between that and the usual material during the livestream era was the size of the Challenger Deep. His Danny the Panda one could have been a 20 minute "Deviants" video and likely would have been better for it.

His streams were good when they were more simple, covering small things that couldn't be covered in a traditional video. Or if he was covering one single topic that had way too much material that couldn't be condensed into a single video. These DSP streams of his come to mind. His streams started going down the shitter for me when IBS and the skeptic drama started to happen.
