It's not conclusive at all that Josie Kay is Shmorky. A few points in favor though:
-Obviously, "Kay".
-classic all-lowercase troon goon crytyping
-Mentioned stay in hospital in Aug 2016, around the time of his nuclear meltdown. Maybe a mental hospital? IIRC his whereabouts were never gotten straight, but Dave was allegedly hospitalized for mental health episodes around late 2016-early 2017, possibly multiple times.
-Housewife + deep-fried meme aesthetic = troon bimbofication fetish + goon irony
-Anxiety around the internet and desire to cut it down, which Dave has done.

I did some researching after PMing the guy and can confirm it's just someone who really likes shmorky. The artstyle is fucking uncanny though. Like, REALLY uncanny. When I first saw it, I was absolutely convinced it was him but after unravelling this guy's history it just seems like he was a big fan. He's actually spoken with shmorky on places like FA and was in a zine shmorky was also in. (Both instances as "sandypants"). He actually knew about both sandypants and shmorky but I don't know if he knew they were the same person. The personality is also really off as shmorky is super antsy and hairpin trigger while this guy seemed super outgoing and there was no feminine shit or diapers.

He mentioned that his uncle, whom he lived with temporarily, was verbally abusive, hated him, and made him feel unsafe, but then went on to talk about how landlord/roommate he moved in with on IRC allegedly sexually abused him after he moved out of his uncle's house. He says his uncle beat him up and threw him to the ground when he tried to move back in with him.
