“I think today’s professional athletes are acting incredibly responsibly. I would strongly support them doing that. People look to them. They’re leaders. Look at what’s happened with the NBA as well. Look at what’s happened across the board. The very people who are victimized the most are the people who are the leaders in these various sports. And it’s just not right.” - President Joe Biden
1) ESPN is a sports network.... a
SPORTS network.
I thought they lost big ratings because they injected too much politics in their sports over the last few years.
2) Calling professional athletes “leaders” is a bit rich since they‘ve been caught on record acting as if athletes should get the vaccine first before anyone else. And mentioning the NBA is not a good argument since that league cares more for Chinese fans than Americans.
3)
ESPN IS A SPORTS NETWORK TALKING ABOUT POLITICS AND THEY‘RE NOT EVEN GOOD AT RECOGNIZING WHO THEIR FAN USER BASE IS.
TL;DW - We made a huge mistake making Barack Obama “the cool uncle” for caring about mainstream professional sports in America than geopolitical matters.
