The New Atheists of like 10 years ago would probably criticize Islam, but the newer atheist youtubers of nowadays are all woke and won't criticize brown people religions even if they're just as bad as Christianity, if not worse. It's extremely pathetic, Atheism+ was a failure but their ideology has essentially won out in the end.

There’s no way of entertaining that hypothetical without changing so many basic assumptions that it’d be impossible to draw a parallel back to our own reality.

Euphoric atheists focused on Christianity because it’s what they knew. A lot of them probably DID grow up with overbearing religious parents who forced on them a faith they had no real attachment towards. Theirs is a fight of telling your parents to fuck off generalized to a crusade against monotheistic organized religion - not a crusade against religion that just so happened to focus on Christianity because it was the biggest dog in town.

It’s funny though, I had a friend from school who’s a pretty classic college liberal SJW... except his parents are extreme fundamentalist Muslims, so he’s hilariously anti-Islam.

Basically, for the euphoric atheists to have focused on Islam instead of Christianity, we’d need to be living in an alternate timeline where either Islam was the dominant religion in America, or the Euphoric Atheist community formed from ex-Muslims instead of ex-Christians.
