General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

I was going to say that they should've waited for 2-3 episodes of the series to be out before doing this watch-along collab in order to at least have enough material to watch for the stream, but turns out that this is a sponsored stream.

Seems like such a waste for a Gura-Ina watch-along. Would've preferred they did it for a movie/series they mutually liked.

She uses this avatar all the time now.

She's been doing duets with the HoloEN by using their own Karaoke streams lol.

Fuck, that Ina-Gura collab could have been a great karaoke or movie watchalong stream, and it was wasted on shilling FotM stuff. Oh well, at least they got money bags from Snoy.

Thanks translator bro for explaining something that was bothering, that Frend took it the hardest finding the grubs inside the grubfather, is because the big brain JP translator changed the name of the achievement, in English you more or less get a idea of what happened to the grubs because the achievement is called Metamorphosis, in JP the achievement was changed to Saviour of the grubs so you dont get the better context of what happen to them if you dont associate the lore of Elegy of the grubflies and the achievement

If you look at the description, it looks like they're getting paid to make the watchalong by the anime production committee itself. I mean, the list of of where you can watch it also contains China and Bilibili, so suffice to say, this is actually a sponsored stream
The question of how they managed to get it though, I suspect Calli pulled a string with her connection through the Gigguk and co and their connection to Kadokawa

Okay, some milk and surprising faggotry by Futakuchi Mana.

So apparently, there was a bit of Twitter slap-fight yesterday between metal vtuber/vscreamer Futakuchi Mana and some literal-who that dared to make a snide comment about Mana's low-effort April Fool's joke - where she posted a video about "graduating" and then have it actually be a rickroll (where an orchestral version of "Never Gonna Give You Up" plays as the BGM). Here's the video:

And here's the title & caption:

...now, that "(read description)" part was added later, when she originally posted the video, the title only said "Graduation...", and she probably added the other stuff later because of what happened after.

So she posted the video on Twitter, and a small chuuba named Aiko" made a small innocuous remark about it being "low hanging fruit". Looked like Mana didn't take kindly to it:

Aiko then went ahead and posted something about "softblocking" people who make jokes about graduating on April Fool's on her Twitter page, but it looked like Mana wasn't done with her yet (note that Tachibana Music is Mana's manager):

So it seems that Aiko was offended on behalf of all prior "dearly graduated" chuubas that Mana made a graduation joke, and Mana was so thin-skinned that Aiko's simple "low hanging fruit" comment set her off.

That should've been the end of it, but it looks like a lot of Mana's "imps" didn't take too kindly to Aiko daring to talk back to Mana that it caused a bit of a disturbance on Mana's Discord server - so much so that Mana had to put up an actual community post on her YouTube channel about "letting bad comments" slide and just the typical "Ignore, Report, Block" spiel:

Which is all fucking laughable because this all started with her not being able to ignore that initial Aiko remark in the first place. Not a good look for Mana, who probably got a bit too used to the hugbox/circle-jerk around her in her Discord server. The community post looks like a blatant attempt at trying to regain a semblance of her pride after being told off by a literal-fucking-who, who also happens to be faggot in her own right:

TL;DR - Faggot got offended about another thin-skinned faggot making low-effort chuuba graduation jokes on fucking April Fool's.

See ALTE? And you call us humorless here. Tsk, tsk.

Fucking envytubers man, i hope they kill each other with their faggotry

I was actually surprised Mana got baited hard by such a simple remark. Should've been used to that shit by now with her alleged background playing in a hardcore band before with how elitist and gatekeepy the metal/hardcore community is. Still kinda like her metal covers though, just not a really good look for her getting baited into a Twitter slapfight with a fucking nobody.

Glad I saw the writing on the wall fairly early on when Mana ended up hardly ever streaming after debut and just made the odd short meme clip here and there while otherwise being an average vtweeter. At least, she certainly put me off very quick when she constantly demanded respect out of her following while also staying adamant that she's never really going to take the whole vtubing thing seriously because of her "career".

Damn shame. I really wanted to like her.

Yeah, that's pretty much where I'm at with her at this point. She does some nice metal covers, but the rest of her channel's content aside from the covers/karaoke just come off very shitposty and low-effort.

Eh, I don't think she has that kind of clout with management. The podcast guesting really only happened probably because it was seen by Cover management as a good way to get some good sponsorship opportunities with Kadokawa/Bookwalker later on, which they did with Gura and Calli's light novel reading streams later on all being sponsored by Bookwalker.

It's this type of person that will go nuclear with political grand stand, not the company hire girls who ACTUALLY enjoy working as the character. I give it a couple of months more before Mana go full cow.

She's already been halfway there considering the previous meltdown someone posted a while back.

Not to mention how quick her and whoever runs Tachibana Music tend to tag-team anyone who talks shit about her.

For Ollie is not that bad, but for Towa is completely yabe situation. Facebook weebs is divided for what I see, but the majority of it, they support Jaret to collab with everyone especially holomember.

Or maybe because Jaret is famous in Indonesian weeb community so it's okay kinda situation for Ollie or Hololive fans in Indonesia.

Mana made it pretty clear early on that she had no interest in being a streaming chuuba and just wanted to do chats and singing streams without any real, regular schedule, certainly no vidya stuff.

Doesn't excuse this sperg out though. The nobody was right, graduation memes are low hanging to such a degree they're not even fruit anymore, they're mulch.

Also lmao, Karen died her hair to match Keeki's. Nuclear rrats incoming.

In other news, the youtube Tyler man has done another "X people sing Y" and it's really good, the homo hype actually steals it.
